SHARING TIME:
ღ - Same warnings as before! Pixiv needs an account, don't be an asshole about fanart. Assume all Glee recs are spoilery. Assume all Disney/Tangled recs are spoilery. Assume all One Piece recs are spoilery.
ღ - Jesus, this Glee thing has me by the throat again. I've been constantly poking at fic (well, constantly for me) and now I'm reading the fuckyeahgleeshipsecrets tumblr and I cannot stop.

AND ONTO THE RECS:
Avatar: The Last Airbender - 1 Fanfic

Arakawa Under the Bridge - 2 Fanart
Final Fantasy IX - 1 Fanart
    Heartcatch Precure - 1 Fanart

Avatar: The Last Airbender: At the Edge of Dusk by Omoni - I picked the link for this fic up off this rec and decided, what the hell, I'll give an Avatar fic a shot today. I immediately got sucked into it and couldn't stop reading pretty much until I was done, because it's such a fantastic Mai story and it's half about her relationship with Zuko and half about her relationships with the other women in the series. I especially love the developed friendship with Suki and the depth the author gives to Mai's uncle and her relationship with him. I love Zuko and Sokka in the background, I love Aang and Katara and Toph and Ty Lee moving around in this fic (they're not major players, this is a Mai fic, but their presence is definitely felt) and I really love that the author gets into how Mai really does have feelings and they're often very deep feelings... she just doesn't show them to other people, her caustic attitude on the surface is still very much intact. I love her relationship with Zuko a lot as well, you can tell how much those two idiots really love each other, yet the tense moments are really believable. I love that it's nearly 20,000 words but it hardly feels like it because it keeps up a good clip and never drags. I just. Really enjoyed this look at the characters set shortly after the series ended. ♥ (Zuko/Mai, Sokka/Suki, background Aang/Katara, but they're all only half the point.)

Community: Trouble in the Turkish District by jheaton - The longer I'm in fandom, the more I become fond of the idea of AUs and... well, still, I do have some hesitation, but then I'll pick up a fic like this and remember why I'm so willing to read AUs in the first place! Because sometimes they're just all kinds of fabulous! The Community cast set in the 1940s and it's a beautiful blend of their regular voices and styles with a bit of a '40s spin on them, plus a really adorable plot and PI!Annie and PI!Jeff in a way that really works! The whole piece just sailed right along and it wrapped up really well and it was just. Fun! (Jeff/Annie, background Troy/Britta.)

Glee: Pavarotti's Postal Service by stripysockz - I can't remember what made me click on this link in the first place, but I'm so glad I did! You do have to accept ahead of time that this is a totally cracky story and just roll with it, but if you can do that? It's kind of beautiful. Kurt sends messages to the other Glee club members via Pavarotti and, of course, they all have reactions to having a little bundle of yellow feathers delivering letters to them. I was pleased during several of the scenes, others making me smile so hard my face hurt, but there were some that were just. as;ldfkjlkas oh god Finn's was the most hilarious thing I've read all day, the author just nailed that line between cracky and still pitch perfect characterization. I loved each and every one of these scenes dearly. (No real warnings/pairings.)

Glee: Reunion by Circe - I love a couple of things about this fic. Well, three things. One, Circe writing Glee fic! Oh my yes. Two, I love the way Kurt feels so settled here, with himself and his life, even when he comes back to McKinley for a reunion many, many years later. (Which is kind of a beautiful reunion, Azimio's line is perfection.) But I also love it for the kind of heartwrenching re-meeting with Karofsky, because part of me thinks that's entirely likely the way this whole thing could go. It's a beautiful little piece and I would like to see her dragged into this fandom forever. ♥ (No real warnings/pairings, but it deals with the Karofsky/Kurt dynamic.)

Glee: down to only you by gingerami - This was a cute little post-"Special Education" piece with Puck and Rachel, where Puck's trying to be a better person... in a Puck sort of way. I enjoyed it for the ship, of course, but also because it's a lot of who Puck is. He's... sort of... a better person... in his own way... and it's just a really cute, fun little piece that I enjoyed and felt hit the right notes with these characters. (Puck/Rachel.)

Glee: The Homefield Advantage by sparklybat - [ part 01 - part 02 - part 03 - part 04 - part 05 ] - I'll admit upfront that this fic does tend to take a softer view of Karofsky's character and his actions in high school, but I found that it worked for me pretty well here because it's nearly ten years later after those events and the author does a really fantastic job of keeping the rough edges on Karofsky's character without excusing them. You can tell that he's matured through time, but he's still very much a jock and his language is bordering on crude often times, but I actually found myself liking the character all the more for it. There's an intensity to the writing that's hard to convey, a really engaging quality that I'm failing to properly describe, because... well, I was initially wary of reading reunion fic, but I found myself sucked into this one very quickly and I just could not put it down. I love the way Karofsky interacts with people--you can see why he still offends them, but you can see that it is better for him than in high school and that he's in a somewhat better place. I was initially wary of where the Glee kids had ended up in this fic, but I soon found myself in the swing of what the author was doing with them here, the places they've found themselves post-high school. And I really liked the oscillating POVs between Kurt and Karofsky and I really like that Karofsky ended up as a pro football player and is kind of enormous, because, I can't lie, that makes the ship kind of even hotter for me. Also! The use of Facebook! Finn's still being dense as a brick! So much fantastic! as;dlkfjal;skjl I am doing a terrible rec for this! Basically, it's really good and super engaging! I need the next part now, plz! And makeouts, stat! (Karofsky/Kurt in the future, some Blaine/Kurt.)

Glee: Different by boldlikeblack - In a way, this is a pretty simple fic, it's Kurt and Blaine at the movies, where Kurt happens to notice Karofsky there, getting to see a different side to the guy. I like that it's a much more plausible way to see the nicer side of the character than softening up the character around Kurt, because he's with his family here and not someone he has to act for. It's definitely on the fluffier side of things, but it's not making any excuses and it's a really neat way to get Kurt thinking about him, even if it's for cognitive dissonance reasons. (This is sort of gen, with potential Blaine/Kurt and deals with the Karofsky/Kurt dynamic.)

Tangled: Popping The Question by Eralk Fang - So, I was whining that there wasn't much Tangled fic yet, especially with the proposal happening off-screen, and then dreamsofthings linked me to this fic and as;ldfkjasl;kjs gah, I'm pretty much going to keyboard mash my way through this rec! I love Flynn's nervousness about the whole thing, I love Rapunzel being so sweet and sure of herself and what she wants, I love their playful banter together, and I adore how everything came out. It's a beautiful fit with the movie (especially the, he proposed vs she proposed thing!) and captures the magic of the movie so well. (Flynn/Rapunzel.)

  - Arakawa Under the Bridge - [ Pixiv Account ] - There might not be a lot of submissions on this account, but the art is really kind of so totally delightful that I couldn't resist it! The artist does all these really fantastic group images (with the past vs present versions of the characters that are awesome) and they all have tons of detail and bright, happy colors. The artist especially likes doing collages that are the kind that made me stop and stare for a bit because there was so much to look at with each image! It's not a huge account, but it's a fantastic one full of a handful of must-see pieces, for me. (Some Kou/Nino, some of the other common ships, some gen.)

  - Arakawa Under the Bridge - [ Pixiv Account ] - Admittedly, the second season is still airing as I write this rec, but it hasn't captured Pixiv the same way the first season of Arakawa Under the Bridge did, so I'm only kind of halfways wandering through the fandom and mostly just seeing where I end up stumbling onto, rather than seeking the bigger accounts out, but. I can't help it sometimes! Even if there's only a handful of art here, it's the kind that gets me! Maria kissing Sister while he sleeps and then laughing when he wakes up gushing blood! The women of Arakawa (and Sister) lounging around and looking kind of great! Sister and Maria casually all over each other with weapons. This is all stuff that totally makes me weak. (Sister/Maria.)

  - Final Fantasy IX - [ Pixiv Account ] - I don't often seek out FFIX art, but every so often an artist kind of stumbles into me and I find some really beautiful pieces. And this artist has a decent amount of art, but even if there'd only been a few, I think I would have recommended them anyway because their Garnet is so pretty and Zidane and Garnet are just lovely and touchingly sweet and totally ship-worthy. It's not that I'm only here for the Zidane/Garnet, but certainly they helped put this account over the top for me. Still. I really enjoyed this artist for how much they clearly loved the whole game and their gorgeous art for the series. (Zidane/Garnet, some gen.)

  - Heartcatch Precure - [ Pixiv Account ] - Browsing Pixiv for this series kind of left me with an ecclectic collection of ships that I don't know if I would have necessarily picked up from just the series alone. Which might be a little odd, but, whatever, it nets me really fantastic shipper art of Kumojacky/Blossom with these really gorgeous, vibrant colors that are amazing. There might not be a lot of art here, but it's the slick, glossy kind of anime-style art that looks very professional and made me fall in love with the characters the artist draws and the ship they're obviously delighted by. It's hard not to be swept up when an artist is this good! (Some Kumojacky/Blossom, some gen.)

  - One Piece - [ deviantART Account ] - I love it when artists have a folder full of One Piece art that has a whole bunch of different characters. I really like the author's almost sort of painting-like style and the warm, warm colors, like on Robin and an awesome one of Sanji with his devil leg and the artist has some really cool ones of Eustass Kid and Ace and Zoro. It's a bit of an ecclectic collection here, but I kind of really liked that about this artist. (Nothing consistent enough to warn for.)

  - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I came to this artist for Zoro and Sanji lounging with Chopper in bed together in the most adorable scene pretty much ever and, sure, I loved it for the ZoSan domestic feeling, but also because the artist does some really excellent b&w lineart. There's also some really good badass Zoro and more Zoro/Sanji and more of Zoro awesome, and it became one of those really fun little accounts to go through, even if there's not a ton of art here. The solid, talented lineart really made it a treat--I mean, Usoppphia alone is worth visiting for! (Zoro/Sanji, some gen.)

  - Pokemon - [ Pixiv Account ] - Again, there might not be a ton of art here, but once I stumbled over it, I just couldn't quite let it pass. Not with some really adorable Eevee art or adorable Vulpix art or the kind of awesome Green with Silver image, all of which showcase the artist's warm, glowy, shimmery cg style of coloring very nicely. I like this artist for having a combination of the cute little Pokemon and the trainers themselves, since I enjoy both aspects of the games. (No warnings/pairings.)
