→ You know, I was thinking. VOCALOID fandom is kind of the ultimate fannish social experiment in some ways--there is no canon. (Not in the traditional sense.) It's almost just pure fandom that builds on fandom that builds on fandom. There are no canon personalities, there's just fanon and whatever you want to do with the characters. And yet IT IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST FANDOMS I'VE SEEN. I just. *flaps hands* It's kind of great and hilarious!
