[ Prince of Tennis ]

tomomichiNotes/Babbling: I actually read a lot more than this, but it was all random chapters of various Gundam Wing and Weiss Kreuz epics and I'm waiting until I finish to rec those. (OMG, GundamW fic, HOW I MISSED YOU. *___*)

Prince of Tennis - 2 Fanfics
- Prince of Tennis - Ozone by rageprufrock - There are a couple of continuity errors in the story (like Tezuka losing a match when he's never lost a practice or official match ever in the last three years, etc.), but they're really insignifigant in the face of such a beautifully told story. The author is becoming one of my favorites because she works so well with those gorgeous subtlties between the characters, because she understands both the characters. The other thing that I really liked about this story was the way that it covered several years worth of time, gliding over important moments, but not feeling like it was missing anything for that. Each moment was touched on for as long as it needed to show you the important things and then it was moving along--you got a much better sense of the slowly evolving dynamic between the two characters. Plus, there are some absolutely gorgeous lines and beautifuly imagery presented in this and I could spend the entire day quoting them. I think, however, my favorite has to be When Tezuka pulled away for air Fuji decided he was drowning in oxygen, that he'd been dying from lack of Tezuka all those months. *dippy TezuFuji hanyan~* (TezukaFuji.)
- Prince of Tennis - The Greatest Gift of All by sailorstarsun - Well. This was just hysterical. I actually had to stop in a couple of places to giggle because I was just so, so terribly amused--well, if you can count embarassing snorting sounds as 'giggling'. ^_~ The amount of details put into the fic was great, but what really sold it was Atobe's unwavering Atobe-ness in reaction to everything around him. His reactions to each of the various other characters that he encountered were hysterical, I could just picture the whole thing. One of my favorite was obviously It was so hard being so pretty. because that is pure Atobe in a nutshell. But I think my favorite line, the one that had me sporfling with laughter (and I'm still giggling thinking about it, for some ungodly reason), was when Sengoku tried to pounce on him and kiss him, "Get off of me." / "You're rather attractive, you know." / "I know that. Now get off of me." because I could just hear him say that. XD XD XD Well, the conversation with Kamio and Shinji was effing hilarious, too. Oh, Jesus, I'm going to shut up now. ^_~ Except for... *rabus the TezuAto hints* (Some TezukaAtobe hinted at.)

Right now, I'm curious but Do you know "Seven Days" a Tenipuri fanfic at fanfiction.net? Right now the ff.net is down so i can't get ya the link, but it's Seigaku/Ring crossing. If you didn't post it up yet, i'll give ya the link. ^^

Date: 2003-10-17 07:33 am (UTC)Aww, you flatter me! #^_____^# I'm glad to help point out some of the stuff I think is good (though, by no means all, since I never seem to have enough time to read it all ;__; ), especially if it gets my favorite authors more attention. ^_~ I don't think I've read the fic, though, I seem to recall seeing a summary for it...? Hmm, will have to wander through FFNET again.
....I admit, the idea of a TeniPuri/Ring crossover has me intrigued. >_>
