- Full Metal Alchemist - aquaregia [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I knew pretty much from the very first illustration in the gallery that I wanted to rec this site because the art is just... lovely. The very first one is an illustration of Roy bending down on his knee in front of Ed, one hand on his arm, the other holding Ed's hand, a soft smile on his face (it's not as dippy as it sounds, honest!) where the lines and colors are fantastic--everything from Ed's hair to his jacket to Roy's uniform to everything is incredibly shaded and colored. And the lines are perfect! Not too thick to make it bulky, but not too thin as to make it overly delicate, they were juuuuust right. I fangirled so hard. ♥ The rest of the art is very cute as well, which makes me wish there were more of the artist's work here, because I really like her style. Plus, usagi!Ed is just too damned cute! XDXDXD (Roy/Ed.)
- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - You know, I'm not entirely sure how to describe this site other than that it's good art; the lines are the strength of the artist (though, I like her colors as well, they're muted, but the style works for her, much like the original manga itself), very smooth and clean but still detailed and pretty. The other strength of the artist is that she doesn't just focus on a single character, she draws pretty much all of them and just nails the character design of them. So, a solid, solid style and lots of cute images (there was one, though, where, just after That Night, armor!Al is worried over Ed, who's in a wheelchair without his auto-mail yet and he just has this "I'm fine, I'm fine, no, not really, but don't worry about me, I'm fine!" look on his face ;___; ) make this for a really good site. ^_^v (No warnings/pairings.)
- Full Metal Alchemist - Lydia [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - When I clicked onto this site, I wasn't really sure what to expect... but I did not expect Havoc x Fury. Which was just... mind-boggling. Even more so because the art is really, really pretty, even bordering on beautiful with some of the illustrations. Seriously, the lines are fantastic, the coloring is fantastic, the shading is fantastic, the proportions are fantastic, everything about these is just... beautifully done. Not to mention that they each really look like the characters and the art is actually really cute and fun--Havoc with kitty ears and little mini Fury are adorable. Plus, going through the gift section, there's some lovely art of the other characters--there's one of Roy wrapping his arms around Ed, who's leaning into the embrace with this look on his face that just made me wibble for, like, ten minutes straight. *wibbles more* I... have this thing about Roy/Ed meaningful hugs. Seriously. I love them to little pieces and this one... just cut right to me. *loves* So, a very fun site with a lot of really interesting art. ^_^v (Havoc/Fury.)
- Saiyuki - Cry Baby [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I tried to resist rec'ing this site for awhile, because I was in an FMA mood this morning and didn't want to be pulled out of that. But the galleries had quite a lot of art (There's a lot more art than the main gallery index would indicate--keep clicking next after clicking on each link, I guess?) and there were about fifteen beautiful Sanzo/Goku illustrations and I was just completely and utterly won over. The lines are absolutely amazing and they're combined with these soft, almost sparkly colors, very reminscient of Minekura's work, but still with the artist's own spin on them--they look prettier here, actually, I think. Plus the poses! Oh, god, I wibbled practically right through the floor at the Sanzo/Goku cuteness--especially when Sanzo would sit with Goku in his lap or Goku leaning against him.... *luffles* (Sanzo/Goku.)
- Naruto - DISCORD [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Ha! When was the last time I rec'd something Naruto that 1) wasn't KakaIru or 2) part of something else? (Like a site with Tenipuri art that just happened to have some Naruto art on it.) But I saw this site's banner and the art looked really pretty, so I had to check it out and... wow, this is beautifully done SasuNaru fanart. It's just... the colors are sometimes those light, soft, almost airy colors that I love so much and the lines are light and airy as well, but without being too shoujo-y or too girly. They're just right. Plus, her basic lineart is fantastic--I'm utterly in love with Sasuke's hair. +__+ Really, really top-notch site for her 2003 and 2004 work! (Sasuke/Naruto.)
