Bleach: all in good time by Kuroeia - This is a short little fic that disordered_mess pointed out again and I love that it doesn't need to be any longer than it is, Chad and Karin would come together just like this. I really like this being from Chad's point of view, even in just a few words, the author did a nice job of capturing his quiet-yet-not personality. (Chad/Karin.)

Ouran Koukou Host Club: Plastic Pieces by idiosyn - Well. Apparently, somehow I missed this fic until disordered-mess pointed it out recently. orz Which is too bad, because it was a really wonderful, sweet Mori+Haruhi piece where they do nothing but play chess and yet... yet it captures everything that I love about the pairing. They don't need to be flashy (the rest of the host club does that around them) to be interesting, there's a quiet charm about them instead. I loved this one a lot. ♥ (It could be Mori/Haruhi, it could be purely gen.)

Skip Beat!: Sunny Side Up by Golden meliades - This is a cute piece with Ren and Kyouko where she helps him out with a particular skill he needs to learn to land a role in a commercial and it's just... it's sweet and I couldn't help smiling the whole way through it, it really did a good job with their dynamic. It was nice, it was one of those that made me feel warm and happy as a fan of these two, and fit nicely into that time where they're sort of on the verge of figuring out how they feel about each other. It was very cute and I love that Kyouko's skills were highlighted in that way the series is so good about. <3 (Ren/Kyouko.)

Excel Saga Fanvid - Pretty Fly - Oh, my god. The levels of PURE CRACK this vid is on cannot be conveyed with mere words. But I seriously laughed my ass off the entire way through, it's got everything it needs--great clip choices and some solid editing of them together and some super hilarious content. It's just. It never lets up, it is three minutes of pure, straight-up, fast-paced crack that fits the song beautifully. I'm kind of awed at the amount of great synching without ever having to repeat itself. Just. Just. LOL. XD

Ouran Koukou Host Club Fanvid - If I Were Gay - Another link from disordered-mess and wow. I think this might be the best If I Were Gay amv I have seen yet. The clip choices were kind of fantastic, there was just enough lip synching to make it amusing, but the actual expressions on Kyouya and Tamaki's faces were a great match as well. I laughed the whole way through this one. XD (Sort of Kyouya and Tamaki, sort of not.)

Ouran Koukou Host Club Fanvid - Glitter and be Gay - Another from disordered-mess and this is one of the best Tamaki vids I've seen pretty much ever, both for content and the way it was put together. The song is a terrific fit (and makes me lol for being a classical soprano song) but it's also the clip choice and editing, it's so smooth and the synching is fantastic. And most of it just. Makes me explode with love for Tamaki all over again, he is seriously one of those people you just. Explode with love for.

Ouran Koukou Host Club Fanvid - Kyouya the Unicorn - You... you don't know how hard I laughed during this vid. Ouran Koukou Host Club. Kyouya. Charlie the Unicorn. Candy Mountain. And it's just. It uses liberally from the episode where they drag Kyouya to the mall and the clips match the voices hilariously and some of the expressions Kyouya makes and just. LOL. It's not perfect, but it's a great parody and kept just the right tone to the whole thing. Seriously, if you don't even crack a smile, I don't know you. :|

Ouran Koukou Host Club Fanvid - That Don't Impress Me Much - This is another cute little vid that I couldn't help being charmed by. It helps that I don't mind the song and it's upbeat enough to keep me watching, but I really liked the clip choices and the whole concept is funny, because it fits Haruhi so well. The flatly unimpressed reactions she has to Kyouya, Tamaki, and the twins are used really well in the vid and I really liked the way it stayed consistent the whole way through.

Ouran Koukou Host Club Fanvid - Kiss the Girl - Crying. Just. Crying during this whole vid. The concept is hilarious--the song from The Little Mermaid set to all of these scenes with Kyouya and Tamaki--and the artist pulls it off really well, which is impressive given that it's a BL pairing. (On the other hand, it's Kyouya/Tamaki, you've got material to work with even in the anime.) There were some really inspired moments, I think there must have been at least three times that I literally went LOL and nearly had to pause the video before continuing. And every time the twins were singing Sebation's background/chorus stuff, I also lost it. Beautiful. ♥ (Kyouya/Tamaki.)

Ouran Koukou Host Club Fanvid - I Think I Love You - This is another one that's not perfect but... idk, I really liked the song choice for this pairing, because they are so much about the love obviously being there, but trying to hold back for whatever reason. Especially Kyouya who would of course be wary of falling so deeply that he could never get back out of love with Tamaki. And what I liked about this one (aside from the song being a fun choice) is that the content of the clips often matches up really well with the lyrics, the looks Kyouya keeps giving Tamaki and vice versa. The quiet but deep fond looks Kyouya would give Tamaki are my favorite moments in this vid, they're the ones that really made it work for me. (Kyouya/Tamaki.)

Ouran Koukou Host Club Fanvid - Girlfriend - Okay, a couple of things. This vid takes awhile to get going (including the thirty second intro that's not part of the fanvid proper, which confused me at first) and it's not perfect, but what it does is... it touches on three things that make it kind of super great for me. It uses Tamaki's grand gestures and the sparkles and shoujo backgrounds to great effect, especially during the chorus. It also uses some great Haruhi expressions as Kyouya's "girlfriend", which made me lol, often because it looked like she was just as unimpressed as anyone being stuck with that label. And the clip choices were often really good--Kyouya's fond looks and Tamaki knows that Kyouya likes him. (Kyouya/Tamaki.)

Ouran Koukou Host Club Fanvid - Reasons why Tamaki is so annoying - You know, I would not have thought that you could make a good anime music video out of a Scrubs song, but. The artist really did kind of a great job picking scenes to fit the tone/lyrics and having a few inspired reaction shots and the song certainly fit better than I was expecting. I also thought the twins as the Janitor's part of the song was kind of really well done. XDb

Ouran Koukou Host Club Fanvid - the bad touch - Oh god. Another vid where I cannot tell you how many times I just about totally lost it while watching. It's kind of really impressive just how much is crammed into this video, I don't think there was much of any repeated footage, but instead a constant stream of various people getting all up in Haruhi's personal space or hilarious moments that were so great. Every time there was a dirty line synched up with Kyouya's scary face while Haruhi shrunk away in fear, I laughed so hard. And god the twins, every time they showed up, it was non-stop lol, too.

Ouran Koukou Host Club Fanvid - The Internet is for Porn - I imagine there are probably a bunch of other Host Club videos that use this same song, but I'm kind of instantly partial to this one because asdl;kfjasl;jk AHAHAHA yes that's exactly how it would go. I love the casting choices for this, especially Haruhi any time she popped up or got a lip synching part. This wasn't a perfect vid, it could have been more polished, but the concept was great and there were enough moments that were brilliant or just completely on that I totally loved this.

- Dragon Quest V - m e t e r o i d [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I was originally here for the Gundam 00 art, but decided to wander into the other section and was surprised to stumble over a handful of DQV illustrations! o/ There's not a ton here, I definitely wish there'd been more, and I think this was probably based on the original game, rather than the remake, but. Pretty art is pretty art! And there was a Pankraz/Mada illustration! I don't think I'd ever seen that before. Plus, there was kidlet Bianca and Flora in an illustration together, there was a really pretty Henry/Maria illustration, there was a really nice one of Bianca's twins, and it was just... a small site, but a really nice one, I was happy to find it. (Hero/Bianca implied.)

- Gundam 00 - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - .....well, I knew I would cave on this site when I got to "Setsuko" in the schoolgirl uniform and the illustration made me lol. I came here for the potential Setsuna/Marina art, but it's really a site that's about a wider scope than that. Not that they aren't adorable when they show up, but there's also some cute Lockon+Setsuna art or some pretty Graham stand alones or a pretty Marie with Allelujah and Hallelujah and a lot of hilarious crossdressing/gendermixing stuff. The basic lineart is really pretty strong and the colors are very nice, it's just a really solid, good site, I had a lot of fun with it. It was just a bonus that I liked some of the pairings a lot. ♥ (Some Setsuna/Marina, some Lockon/Setsuna, some other, a lot of gen.)

- Gundam 00 - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - The artist of this site did something interesting that kind of caught my attention--on the early pages of the gallery that I clicked through, there was one CG color illustration and one b&w (or colorized) sketch, which allowed me to see the contrasts and comparisons of the work here. I think I liked the b&w sketches more at first, you could see the strength of the lines better in them, but once the artist got better at colors, I started to like them just as much and then even more at times. I love that the artist covered nearly every major character from the series and even gave me a couple of Setsuna/Marina illustrations when they weren't the main focus of the site at all. This is one of those sites that I like to think everyone can get something from, even if it's just a quick sketch of a character you like. (No real consistent warnings/pairings.)

- Gundam 00 - m e t e r o i d [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site is not going to be for everyone. You're probably going to have to be a fan of the pairing already before you even step onto the site, I suspect. It's just. If you like them and you're an art junkie like me, the handful of illustrations on the site that are all about the pretty hair trailing all over the place or Setsuna and Marina touching each other or leaning into each other or watching over each other, it's all stuff I'm weak to. I definitely wish there'd been more art here, you can see the artist growing over the course of the site, but mostly just because I dig this style. Light, airy colors, loats of flowing and floating feelings to the images, that kind of thing, I could look at sites like this for ages. *___* (Setsuna/Marina.)

- Gundam 00 - Double Crown [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Christ, it didn't take me long to fall in love with this site. I was weakening the whole way, but Billy with little baby Graham (who was wearing cat-ears earmuffs! good lord, the adorableness of those things!) pretty much officially did me in. The art starts off pretty solid, but quickly gets even better, the lines are nicely sharp and the colors turn really nicely done and occasionally some of the Billy/Graham illustrations are kind of stunning. The one of them on the starry floor is worth visiting the site for alone, but pretty much any time there's tiny chibi Graham, I'm ALL OVER IT. There's also some seriously gorgeous Graham stand-alone art and this is the kind of site I want to find when hunting for Billy/Graham fanart. *___* (Billy/Graham, but it's sort of gen at the same time.)

- Gundam SEED - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Honestly, one of the last places I expected to find myself today was on a Gundam SEED site and yet... here I am. I was sucked in by the pretty Lux art, the artist does a really beautiful job with her. The colors are light and airy, which suit her character (and the Kira/Lux pairing) but it's really the lovely lineart that impressed me with this site. That and the SUPER ADORABLE poses she had for Kira and Lux, the kind that are totally fluffy and work with a pairing like them. They were one of those pairings I could hardly believe became canon because I liked them so much and this site kind of reminds me of that feeling I had when the series first turned in that direction--pure delight at an OTP of mine. ♥ (Kira/Lux, a smidge of Ashuran/Cagalli.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Hm. Another site I feel like I may have seen before. But maybe I just passed it up before since I wasn't in the mood at the time? Idk. But it's got some really nicely done art, very clean lines and bright, smooth colors that I really like. I think I especially knew I was going to cave on this site when I got to the one of Luke and Tear in waitress uniforms together, but there's a lot of really cute Luke art in general here. There's also a nice Sync/Anise and at least one hot Tear illustration. Not a lot of art, but worth a quick trip through, if you're in the mood. (No real warnings/pairings.)

Ah, if I knew you'd missed that I would've pointed it out to you sooner^^;; Though now that I'm looking over it again I'm a little ashamed at the amount of typos (and my being too lazy to fix them...)
