Notes/Babbling: ....two fic recs count as fic, right? >_> (But... but... One Piece art! There's so much of it! And it's so pretty! I mean, honest to god, I think OP even blows Prince of Tennis out of the fanart waters by sheer size alone. I mean, judging by the webrings... there are two Zoro/Sanji rings, one about 650, one about 450. The biggest Tenipuri (pairings) ring I've seen was the InuKai one, which is, to be fair, ~650. The next biggest is the TezukaFuji one that's about ~450 members. And FMA? The Roy/Ed one is nearly 400 members already. I suspect it will eventually CRUSH THEM ALL, considering the length of time it's been running as compared to Tenipuri or OP. *ufufufufufufufu*)
Series:
Prince of Tennis - 1 Fanart
    One Piece - 2 Fanart
    Princess Tutu - 1 Fanart
    Princess Tutu/Gundam SEED - 1 Fanart
Full Metal Alchemist - 4 Fanart
Full Metal Alchemist - 2 Fanfics

- Prince of Tennis - 2M [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I wasn't originally going to rec this site because Senbe isn't my pairing, but the art was pretty enough that I kept clicking on random illustrations in the gallery. And... the more I clicked, the more the artist's work became just beautiful, she does an incredible Sengoku (there were two Sengoku illustrations that just knocked me on my ass with how gorgeous they were--the one where he's leaning back against a wall? HOLY MOTHER OF GOD THAT'S BEAUTIFUL. *_____*) and an amazing Atobe--when she does Atobe-ko, he's just... amazing, beautiful, gorgeous, adorable, all those words that indicate how much I'm squee'ing. The artist has this incredible smoothness to her lines, fantastic proportions, and she completely lays the smackdown on CG-style coloring. I'm just impressed as all hell. ♥ (Some Sengoku/Atobe, some Yamabuki, some Hyoutei.)

- One Piece - Mugiwaranai Koisite[ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I wasn't sure what to expect when I clicked onto this site, but I was hoping for some cute OP art... and found one of my new favorite Luffy/Nami sites! *___* It's rare when I find a site where I like EVERYTHING on the page (given that it has more than, say, five illustrations), but, damn, I think I wanted to shove every single illustration on this site at everyone because they were awesome. Not only were they wonderfully drawn with great colors and lines, but they FELT like the One Piece art--just a little bit whacky, but still FUN and MEANINGFUL. I honestly can't pick a single illustration out here, but any time Luffy would put a hand on Nami's face or he would kiss her or she would smile at him... I fell in LOVE. The art here is absolutely terrific and FEELS like One Piece and reminds me of just why I love looking for OP art in the first place and TOTALLY makes me an incoherent fangirl. I love it when a site can do that. ♥♥♥♥ Ahahahaha, plus the artist had one Zoro/Sanji, which ALSO makes my day. ♥ (Luffy/Nami.)

- One Piece - Love & Piece [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Every once in awhile, I come across a site that just makes me *SQUEE* with wild abandon because it captures the feeling of the One Piece style/art so incredibly well AND gives me exactly what I want, that I just fangirl like mad crazy. This is one of those sites because the artist is incredibly talented but also because she draws some of my favorite pairings from the series AND does fantastic gen stuff. (There's the regular gallery, but also check out her Weekly Jump section, because she's got some fantastic sketches based off the chapters there. ♥) She's got that grin that Oda-sensei does down phenominally well, really helping along that sense of FUN that One Piece has. Her colors are also incredible, her lines fantastic, her poses perfect, her One Piece-tone amazing, and all of that. But, really, the thing that just made me twirl around the room in utter glee? That I believed these pairing illustrations. Sometimes, with some art sites, I have to squint a little to match the characters up with the ones in my head (This isn't an insult--this is something that happens with even the most STUNNING sites, many of which are among my absolute favorites.), but with this site... I dunno, I just SAW the characters (and pairings) that I adore so much. Because THIS is my Zoro/Nami, toally. And, really, I'm all about the squee-factor. If it makes ME fangirl, then I'm terrifically happy to have seen the site. ♥ (Some Zoro/Nami, some Sanji/Nami and some Luffy/Nami, and some gen.)

- Princess Tutu - Field Note [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Admittedly, the art starts out a little rough on this site, but by the time I was checking through the more recent art, the artist had strengthened up into gorgeous illustrations. She starts out very CG-y, but about halfway through she switches styles and her art gets beautiful from then on out; the colors and lines are these soft, gentle things that I am so very fond of in the first place, but also fit so incredibly well with the fairytale feel of the series itself. Ahiru especially looks amazing, but there's this incredible one of Mute and Rue as well. Plus! She has this page of oekaki illustrations that I'm just madly in love with--Mute with child!Fakia was just touching and there were no words for how much I squee'd over the Fakia/Ahiru kiss. ♥ Really wonderful site that put me back in a Princess Tutu MOOD. *sparkles* (Some Fakia/Ahiru.)

- Princess Tutu/Gundam SEED - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I started out with this artist's Gundam SEED illustrations, which were just... WOW. Her basic lines are really nearly on par with the original art itself and she does a tremendous job with the shading and coloring--they look fantastic when she inks them. *happy sigh~* And then you've got the Princess Tutu art~~. When this artist doesn't ink her illustrations, she still colors them amazingly, so you've got this soft, gentle sort of art that's just so pretty. And then when she does ink them? *_______* There's this one on a page of several illustrations with Fakia and Ahiru back to back with each of their expressions sad, Ahiru's head bent forward as tears gather in her eyes, that's just beautiful. And then there's one of shirtless Fakia that I totally drooled over. And then the one of Fakia and Ahiru hugging. You see where I'm going with this. ♥ Wonderful, wonderful site. (Some Fakia/Ahiru.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I admit, I got here through the FMA under galleries search enging (*purrs happily*), but I wound up staying for the entire site because the artist draws a really fantastic Ed and she has this pretty CG-style coloring that's done in exactly the way I like it. It's not too gaudy, it's not too bright, it's just... not quite soft, but was done with a deft hand. Plus, there was a ton of oekaki art in the galleries, which was actually made up of some really cute stuff--you can tell that Ed is the artist's favorite and he really does look terrific for it. And I liked that she tried all sorts of different poses with the oekaki pages (Ed in the rain, Ed with kitty ears, Roy/Ed hugs, Ed being serious, Ed being annoyed, Ed in glasses, a few of the other characters, etc.). Very, very solid, fun site that I quite enjoyed. ♥ (Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - You know, there are times when I almost prefer b&w sketch-like images over colored ones, because it lets you focus on the artist's lines and the colors don't distract you from the basic art. Well. At least when the artist's art is good, mind. Which this artist very much is. ♥ Her color art is wonderful, but it was the initial b&w images that won me over because the artist's lineart is very solidly well-done and adorable--when her Ed blushes, you just want to scoop him up and snuggle him to pieces. When he's sleeping in bed, his boxers tossed to the side, you go *UFUFUFUFUFU* at the implications and want to snuggle him to pieces. When he's being cranky you just want to snuggle him to pieces again. And when Roy's kissing him? *_______* The artist does all of Ed's expressions so wonderfully that I found myself terribly impressed and in love with the art. ♥♥♥ Plus? OMG THE VALENTINE'S DAY ART MADE ME SO HAPPY. *sparkles* (Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - [ English Fanart Site ] - Every once in awhile I like to find English fanartists to recommed, just to get a little variety going--though, it tends to be difficult because not a lot of E-fanartists have websites. So it's nice to have DeviantArt to gather stuff up and I can find all of the artist's work in one place. ^_^v There were a couple of things that put this artist on my "Yeah, okay, I'm going to rec this art. <3" the most signifigant being the Roy/Ed bathtub illustration--I have this THING for pretty boys being draped over each other in the bathtub and this artist really made me squee for that. Plus? There's an absolutely HYSTERICAL one of Roy with a chibi Ed in his arms and a little chibi Envy hung up and on fire. XDXD Plus, there's a gorgeous Hawkeye illustration, some other cute Roy/Ed illustrations, and some really nice single character ones. Quite a nice site/artist. ^_^v (Some Roy/Ed, some gen.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - Metallica [ Thai Fanart Site ] - I came across this artist's work on her Deviant Art account and was impressed as hell by her art--there's this one page from a fanbook she's doing that's just fantastic--the lines are perfect, the details fantastic, and the expressions on Roy and Ed's faces are just... eeeeee!, I'm already fangirling over her books. She also has this absolutely adorable one of chibi!Ed with puppy ears and tail that IS SO FREAKING CUTE that I just shriek incoherently. She also has a gorgeous one of Roy and Ed from episode 13 while they're cleaning up afterwards with these beautiful golden colors and a fantastic expression on Ed's face. And there's a wonderful Valentine's illustration that made me fangirl quite a lot. So that's basically the reaction I had to this site--I squee'd a lot, I fangirled a lot, it was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed going through her DA account and just... sparkling over the art. (Some Roy/Ed, some gen.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - Train Rides by Vikki - Edward takes to train rides like a fish to water. Many people find that it gives them motion sickness, but Edward falls asleep as if the natural rocking of the train is the rocking arms of his mother. This is one of those short little fics from Vikki that I adore seeing because they just... they feel right to me, because they fit with what I know of the characters, and because they bring all these pictures to mind that I just adore. Because stories like this show that... it's hard to put into words, but that whole feeling of how much they hurt, how much they hurt each other, Ed and Al, even without meaning to, yet mean the world to each other and each manages to carry the other through the day even at the very quietest moments like this. It sounds cheesy and corny when I say it like this, but the fic is lovely. (No warnings/pairings.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - Drabble Challenge by Harukami - I debated about how to rec these at first, but the Harukami solved the problem for me by linking all of them in one handy post and I went *ufufufufufu* and gleefully set about trying to figure out how to talk about them. Of course, the obvious thing I liked is that they were all little bite-sized fics that were just the right length for my attention span lately (when I sit down to read fic, I like to tear through it, but otherwise, if I'm just sort of diddling around on-line, I like bite-sized stuff) and each were a different, cute/funny/scary/painful/wonderful/sparkly/smutty/interesting idea. The very last one is my favorite for obvious reasons, but I laughed muchly at the April Fool's one and wibbled madly over "Weaponry" because I loveloveloved the Roy introspection and I mentioned the *____*'ing over #27, yes? *fangirls* All the other usual things apply--wonderful writing, funny humor, thoughtful insights into the characters, and so on. I'll scoot along now. >_> (Ranging G to NC-17, half pairings, half gen. Too much to list, really.)

Hi! Can I recommend a TezuFuji j-fanart site? ^_^

I'm not sure if you've already recced it before, but it's been one of my favourites for quite some time now. It's called East-Pig (http://www5d.biglobe.ne.jp/~pig-east). The artist's illustrations are really lovely (I got my icon's pic from there), esp her comics. To me, she really has a knack for portraying Tezuka and Fuji's characters in her artwork. ^_^ She does mostly TezuFuji, but lately she's been dabbling in the NiouxYagyuu pairing, which she does pretty well too. :D

The only drawback is that her updates are very sporadic and slow...but anyway, I hope you'll enjoy this site as much as I did! ^_^

*glomps* I love it when people suggest stuff that I've not yet seen (which I hadn't! *sparklesparkle*) especially when I totally go nuts over the art--you're right that her comics are especially just wonderful. Her artwork in some of them is downright beautiful. *__* I really liked her color art, too, especially the ones where Tezuka and Fuji looked so tall and lanky (versus the skinny spider stick freaks I see once in awhile, which doesn't work for me as well... somehow, these did, though). You're also right that she captured that... well, feeling of Tezuka and Fuji that I can't put into words any better than that.

Once again, thank you muchly for rec'ing the site--a person can search and search and search and it's still partially a matter of luck what you happen to come across, so it's muchly appreciated! ♥
