ღ - I know it's been awhile. (Again.) But, between getting sucked into tv series again and fucking Farmville (look, I know) I just haven't been spending much time in fandom. I have been keeping current with One Piece lately, however, so I'm just going to go on a whirlwind tour through the fandom again. o/ THERE WILL BE SPOILERS HERE for ALL THE WAY TO CURRENT, I'll try to mark most times where there's a lot of extra spoilery stuff, but a bunch are going to slip through, I'm pretty sure. Proceed with caution and all that.
ღ - You need an account for Pixiv, as always. I've decided to rec artist accounts, rather than trying to keep up all the new stuff that's posted, because that was getting a bit exhausting and I think I was the only one who really enjoyed it. XD
ღ - In the same vein, I've started a proper deviantART account and I've been favoriting the hell out of stuff. All the images are sorted into their respective fannish folders, but I'm also creating montly folders for anything new, to make it easier to see what I've added and when. For instance, all the art I've added in October, so it's easier to find the new stuff I'm recommending, rather than a big, bloated page here. I'm still working a system out for myself, but I'll probably just announce whenever I've uploaded a bunch more images or whatever. ♥

- Durarara!! - [ Pixiv Account ] - I meant to stick to just looking at One Piece today, with maybe a detour or two. But no big series, because I'd get sucked into them, I feared. But then I saw this Shizuo/Izaya image of them in formal wedding outfits (Shizuo in a tuxedo, Izaya in a wedding dress) and laughed kind of really hard and then kind of went *__* really hard because it is super fucking pretty. There's also a vampire!Shizuo biting Izaya's neck image and it's kind of like Japan knows me right about then. There might not be a lot of art here (I'd say about 12 images on the Durarara!! tag), but they're all fantastically well drawn with some excellent lines, some fantastic anime cel-style coloring, and both characters looking super hot. And also some really fangirl-worthy poses, which is always important. :D (Shizuo/Izaya.)
- Naruto - [ Pixiv Account ] - Again, I meant to stick just to One Piece today, but somehow wound up wandering a bit and then ended up on a Naruto artist. Which I can't really complain about, because this one was kind of really fun! There's a nicely varied (at least from the usual Naruto art I find myself stumbling over) selection here, mostly focusing on the Sand Village characters, maybe a little Akatsuki (though, mostly Sasori there, obviously) and then a little bit of Konoha with special attention to Team 10 and the occasional image of Naruto himself. The art is very solid and cute, it's nicely done and has some warm colors, and the occasional beautiful Naruto piece or super adorable Halloween piece that I totally had fun with. (....too many ships, no consistency, you could almost see it as gen? Idk.)
- Naruto - [ Pixiv Account ] - I continue to have my weaknesses when it comes to fandom and a set of cute chibis is still one of those things. There might not be a lot of art here and I wish there had been more chibis, because that's where the artist really excels and it seems like their art is the strongest, but this was a cute, fun little account to stumble over today, especially since I'd already gotten sidetracked with Naruto art and just wanted a small KakaIru fix. This totally provided that for me. :D (Some Kakashi/Iruka, some gen.)
- Naruto - [ Pixiv Account ] - Oh, man, I totally came here for the adorable young team 7 art, but then the artist hit me with Naruto and Kushina and Minato and Kushina with baby Naruto and even a little Sasuke/Karin and I was totally sunk. I really like the artist's use of colors, sometimes darker and sometimes just these really bright, vivid colors that look beautiful, along with their strong lineart and ability to make the characters look totally adorable or totally awesome. I don't always focus my search on the team 7 characters, but it's nice to come across artists like this when I do, because this was totally satisfying today. (No real warnings/pairings.)
- Naruto - [ Pixiv Account ] - I admit, I wish there were more proper color art from this artist, because this one of Kakashi, Kushina, and Minato wishing Naruto a happy birthday is kind of fantastic, but. It's hard to complain when the artist also gives me beautifully done black&white art like this as well. It's a fun account, there's a lot of b&w images or sketches with some lightly done colors, there's a lot of little moments between the characters, and it's... I guess it's hard to describe? But it was one of those sites that gave me a nice fix today and had some really cute little images along the way. <3 (Maybe a little Kakashi/Naruto? I'm firmly taking it as gen, though, shut up.)
- Naruto - [ Pixiv Account ] - Do you know what else I'm all the hell over? Minato, Kushina, and baby Naruto, I eat that kind of thing up like it's delicious candy and people need to provide me more of it. I love the sharpness this artist often has with the characters, especially when it comes to Kushina and her beautiful long as hell red hair. I mostly came here for those two characters, but I occasionally got distracted away by the very nice SasuNaru art or the occasional beautiful Itachi image or gorgeous Naruto and kitsune image (the colors on that one are fantastic), rounding things out nicely here. It's not a huge account, but it was satisfying for what I was after this morning. (Some Naruto/Sasuke, some Minato/Kushina, some gen.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - There are two really great things about this artist's account--one, that there's a solid amount of art and, of course, it's very pretty stuff. But, two, there's some really interesting match-ups and characters that you don't see always. Like, Sengoku and Garp or an awesome one of Coby, Garp, Sengoku, and Aokiji or a really nicely done image of Izou or an awesome poster-style image of the Whitebeard War saga or Ace, Luffy, and Makino or STRONGWORLD Luffy or Ace and Hancock or-- well, you get the idea. There's some of the more popular characters as well, but sometimes it's nice to run into a really interesting artist who does a variety of characters like this. I enjoyed it a lot. (No real warnings/pairings.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I'm going to have a little trouble describing why I liked this artist's work so much when I kind of maybe shouldn't? The art is very well done, the lines are fantastic and the darker colors work really well with the strong inking and the detail is great, but... it's not nice art? That's the best way I can put it. It's Doflamingo/Crocodile and that pairing tends to come with a lot of not-nice kinks--not that this artist is particularly hardcore about it (though, there is that one series of images....) but that it's not going to be for everyone. But I have this thing with the Doflamingo/Crocodile ship. I don't want it to be nice or fluffy. So, when Crocodile is tied up or chained down or there's a fist in his hair, all while he's still wearing those awesome (and gorgeous) suits of his, I'm kind of all over art that's as well done as this. Not for everyone, but if you like this ship, I think you might like this artist. (Doflamingo/Crocodile, NSFW often times.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - Okay, there's only a handful of art here, which had me debating for awhile, but eventually I had to cave because some of the art was just kind of really interesting. I stumbled over the artist because of their Halloween images that were really adorable, but then stayed for the just as adorable image of Ace and Bepo (there's also some great art of Bepo and Whitebeard, Bepo and Law) and then Salad Marco and I am just all over that trend on Pixiv. So, the artist's stuff wound up being a lot of fun! (No real warnings/pairings.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - Do you know what's another thing I love? A really cute Zoro/Nami piece to catch my attention that'll lead me back to an account that has a bunch more really cute art with shoujo, sparkly, bright colors that are totally my thing. Also, there is hotass Zoro. And a STRONGWORLD inspired Luffy/Nami hug. And Nami and Namizou in awesome clothes. And Luffy and Zoro both hugging Nami in their own ways with more warm, almost shoujo-style coloring. And, really, I wanted to say something coherent about this artist, how the lineart is really good in a lot of images, how I like the colors, how I'm totally in love with their love for Nami, etc. But then there's Nami at four stages in her life all bundled together or the Durarara!! pairing with Nami (or Namizou) in the Strawhats' outfits and I'm just too *___*♥ to be coherent. This artist is totally my kind of thing, I have to admit. *___* (Some Zoro/Nami, some Luffy/Nami, some other/Nami, a few NC-17 images, but there's also some gen.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - Another account that doesn't necessarily have a ton of art (though, you can find quite a few sketches in the multi-page links) but, screw you guys, all bets are off when I come across Roger and Rouge art that's beautiful and almost sort of shoujo-esque. I have a bit of a thing for them, I'll pretty much drop whatever else to find art for them sometimes because the possibilities of what might have been (despite that we know very little about Rouge other than her willpower was something fierce and we barely know much more about Roger) and just. They make a really beautiful pair in fanart sometimes. So, yeah. I'm all over that. But also! Halloween!Ace being adorable! And some fun sketches (watch out, though, that last one is a killer) and tiny Luffy with Kid and Law and kidlet Ace and Rouge and-- well, yes. It was enough to totally win me over. (Vaguely shippy sometimes, but enough to count.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - Granted, I have a lot of weaknesses when it comes to One Piece, but Zoro/Robin is genuinely among them. Maybe not one I seek out as often as I do other ships, but when I come across it? Yeah, I'm all over it. So I jumped at this account when I saw the most recent (at the time, of course) image of Zoro slinging Robin over his shoulder in their STRONGWORLD clothes and, sure, I could have done without the pantyshot of it, but otherwise! Kind of totally my thing! Then the artist sealed the deal with me by having a really cute Luffy/Nami post-time skip image that I liked and a whoooole lot more Zoro/Robin. The earlier the art, the less sure it is, so it's probably not going to be for everyone (or non-Zoro/Robin fans) but I think the artist shows a lot of potential in images like post-time-skip Zoro/Robin or Zoro/Robin in black & white or this series of meme answers. I'd like to see where they go from here, too. (Zoro/Robin, a smidge of Luffy/Nami. Occasionally NSFW.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - And, well, who am I to let a One Piece recs post go by without throwing some Zoro/Sanji art in there as well? Not that I really intended to, but then I stumbled over a completely adorable Halloween chibis image, followed the image back, discovered more hilarious chibi Halloween art and nicely done post-time-skip art and ZoSan porn. So, you know, I was pretty much instantly sold. Not that the artist isn't talented, she does some really nice colors, I love the bright, almost dreamy feel or the sunshiney feel that they often have, I love how you can totally feel the artist's love for Sanji even aside from him being the majority of the focus, or when she does Sanji resting under a sakura tree she has this... certain charm to it that I'm just all over. And I love that feeling, that squeeful feeling I have when I look at Zoro slinging Sanji over his shoulder like a bag of rice (totally my favorite way of carrying another person), it's such a fun time to be in the ZoSan fandom when I come across artists like this. (Zoro/Sanji, some NSFW, some gen.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I debated on this account for awhile, since there are only 12 links (at the time of this rec) even if some of them are multi-page or multi-panel comics, and one of the images that initially caught my eye was of Spandam. Granted, it's not every day you see really nicely done Spandam art, but still. I want that dude to DIAF already. But then! Lucci and Kaku that's really, really nicely done! And Shanks rescuing Ace and the D brothers and then a comic that just about made me start bawling all over again. I kind of have to give a thumbs up to an artist who can make me do that, "... *hard sigh*" after looking at their art, because it brought it all up again. All in all, a really interesting collection and I'd like to see more from this artist. (No real warnings/pairings.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I think I would have recommended this site just for the sheer novelty of finding a Marco/Crocodile shipper's collection of art! MARCO and CROCODILE! I don't think I'd seen that done even once before, to be honest. But! I love novelty! And this artist does some really kind of amazing work, the detail on both Crocodile and Marco is really fantastic and, while there's only a handful of images here, they're all on the same level of quality. I do wish the images were a smidge bigger, just to appreciate all that attention she's put into the images, but I appreciate art like this just existing. :Db (Some Marco/Crocodile, some gen.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - Oh! Speaking of ships that I can't ignore if I'm doing a One Piece recommendations spree! Especially if it's a Pixiv spree! Ace/Luffy is one of those ships that I never thought I'd like... and then along came the Whitebeard War saga and, wham, FAN FOR LIFE. And I love artist like this, even if there's not a whole lot of art here, you get things like Halloween cuteness or Pirate King!Ace + Revolutionary!Luffy (with Dragon's tattoooossss on Luffy's face, did not know how much I wanted that until I saw it here) or grown up Ace, Luffy, and Sabo (my heartttttt) or even just total adorable cuteness with almost-kisses and hugs. The artist's style is just enough like Oda's in spirit that I enjoyed it that much more, and I was just. Really happy to stumble over this one today. ♥ (Ace/Luffy.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - After the previous recommendation, I told myself that I was going to go do something else for awhile, since I'd just done 10 recs in a row and needed a break. But I had just one more tab to clear out of my browser first... and it was a fun Halloween vampire!Zoro image that I thought had some really good lineart to it. Okay, I'll just quick check out the gallery, real fast. And then the artist gave me Sadie-chan-style!Sanji and okay. See. One Piece fandom has done this thing to me where I fucking love stuff like this now. Especially when it's well-drawn! So, I was all over the image. And then the artist gave me post-time-skip walking along and more hilarity with ZoSan and then Zoro pushing Sanji down who is wrapping his legs around Zoro and, why, thank you, yes, that was very nice of you, Pixiv! Plus, there's no way in which this pirate!Zoro/Sanji image is not completely fucking awesome. Plus, to top it all of, this image of VOCALOID!Zoro is the funniest goddamned thing I've seen just about ever. The artist combines solid art style and either awesome or hilarious or hot concepts for the image and just. Makes me fall in love all over again. ♥ (Zoro/Sanji. Occasional vague NSFW art.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I wasn't sure I was going to recommend this account at first, since there's only eight images on it so far, but... well, the first image I saw of Law snuggled into bed and then there were a handful of Kid/Law images (I'm a sucker for novelty once again--though, that ship isn't that rare, all things considered, I don't think?) and then... well, Ace, Luffy, and Sabo and Iceberg/Franky when they were kids and, well. This artist clearly knew the way to get to me. But I really do like the warm, almost earthy sort of colors, the tons of detail the artist puts into their work, and how they just made me want to smile. That's what I keep going back to fanart for! (Some Kid/Law, some other, some gen.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I think what gets me about this artist is the obvious affection and adoration they have for the D-Brothers and how it sweeps me right up in it, even if the images themselves aren't perfect. But I don't want to know the person who can look at Ace giving Luffy a piggyback ride when they were kids or Garp holding a sleeping Luffy and putting a bandaid on Ace's face when they were kids or this series of Ace sketches or this series of Ace images or Ace, Luffy, and Sabo and not just completely fall in love. The art is similar enough to the OP style to make me smile, but it's something more in the way that the artist... I don't know, gets across a certain feeling, the way they smile or the hugs the characters give each other, that's what I really responded to with this artist, I think. Also, I'm totally an Ace fangirl and this artist clearly adores him as well, so. That helped, too! (No real warnings/pairings.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - Another one where I hesitated a bit, some of the earlier art could use some polishing (which the artist clearly did), there's not a ton of art here, a fair amount of them are borderline ecchi, but... oh, man, how hard do I love Luffy kicking Sakazuki's ass and then Luffy kicking Kizaru's ass, TWO OF THE PEOPLE WHO DESERVE IT THE MOST. Those two images were worth it pretty much RIGHT THERE. I also enjoyed Sanjiko in a very pretty dress and I don't oppose the Luffy/Robin art, so, you know. It was an interesting site with some really out of the park images along the way. (Some gen, some Luffy/Robin, occasional NSFW content.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I'll admit upfront that this artist isn't going to be for everyone, because there's some graphic Zoro/Robin sex and a lot of Robin nakedness strewn throughout the images. But if that doesn't bother you, then this is a gorgeous set of artwork, the kind where I can look at the images every time I come across this artist's account and still stop and stare. Santa-themed Zoro/Robin or the two of them sitting back to back on the main deck with one of his swords in her lap as she reads and he naps (which is my favorite, the colors are gorgeous, the lines are gorgeous, the pose is gorgeous, everything is gorgeous), or even Ace vs Aokiji (which my heart cries out for not getting), all of them are fantastic. Even the simple ones of his sword at her throat and hand in her hair, her hands coming up to hold onto him, or the Strawhats group image (you can tell I love this artist because I can't stop linking images *__*) they all manage to capture something of the series or just be really hot. I looooove this artist kind of a lot. ♥ (Zoro/Robin, some gen, watch out for a fair amount of NC-17.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - This is another one of those accounts where I feel I should put a big warning on about the hentai art found on these pages, almost like I should feel badly for liking the artist's work, except... aside from the exaggerated porn style, the artist actually does some really delightful pieces! Luffy protecting Nami during STRONGWORLD, Nami trying to get back the recording while Luffy tries to keept it out of her hands, Luffy and Nami in their Fruit Warriors costumes, another STRONGWORLD touching moment with the two of them, a really kind of excellent Luffy/Nami kiss, and so on. If you can step lightly, there's some really fun stuff and I like the artist's very bright, solid coloring and, of course, I love how much you can feel their affection for the LuNa ship. And yet there's also a lot of affection for Hancock and a fondness for school uniforms (which I approve of) and the occasional bit of everything else. I always wind up really enjoying this artist whenever I come across a new image of theirs. ♥ (Luffy/Nami, some one-sided Luffy/Hancock, occasionally NC-17.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - This artist has a handful of really amazing images that I fall for every time I come across them again, no matter how many times. Franky, Chopper, and Sanji in the blue, blue ocean with all the fish and dolphins is my favorite, because it's just beautiful to look at and captures the sense of adventure of the series so very well. But I'm also fond of a more serious Sanji with chocolate and Sanji in the sunset, which are both also just beautiful to look at. There might not be a ton of art here, but the artist is definitely capable of doing some really excellent work, especially if it's Sanji-centric. (No warnings/pairings.)
- Princess Tutu - [ Pixiv Account ] - [The artist also has a deviantART account.] The art here is occasionally a bit on the simpler side with the lineart and there's not a ton of images here, but... I was slowly won over by Fakia and Ahiru with kids and by the Fakia/Ahiru fairy tale ending and pop art style Kraehe and Fakia as the Dark Prince, along with the artist's poster-style images that looked really good and the multi-page comic you can find on her devART account. All of it added up to be this really charming, wonderful trip through the Princess Tutu fandom again, which I adored. ♥ (Fakia/Ahiru, some gen.)
- Princess Tutu - [ Pixiv Account ] - Again, there might not be a lot of images here, but I don't care because I get lovely stuff like Fakia and Ahiru in swimwear (and in each other's laps, why, thank you, Pixiv) and the two of them as kids and Fakia kissing Ahiru's hand as they fall through the air together. All things I am totally weak to! I just randomly got on this Tutu kick this afternoon after stumbling over an image and this is the kind of artwork that I love to find, the kind that reignites my shipper heart but is also lovely to look at, with cute colors and cute concepts for them. A delight to find today! (Fakia/Ahiru.)
- Professor Layton - [ English Fanart Site ] - I've fallen behind with both the Layton fandom and the games themselves, but it's artists like this that bring the love I had for them just flooding right back. I first stumbled over Luke and Layton in London, which is really fantastically done and probably still my very favorite of this artist's, but then I also stumbled over Layton and Luke in the rain as they pick up a frog, which is just ten different kinds of total adorable. The artist really captures the charming feel of the series and the characters, the simple yet beautiful style of the art, and you can really feel the affection in the images. This is totally one of my favorites for the fandom now. ♥ (No warnings/pairings.)
Final Fantasy VII doujinshi (raw): Rendezvous - [Note: This post is locked, but the comm should be freely joinable. You can find the link for the doujinshi in the comments--be warned, the files are rather huge.] I really, really enjoy a good Sephiroth/Cloud doujinshi, especially if it has pretty art. This artist is really good, professional-level quality (considering a lot of the manga I've seen), and it shows in her work here. But it's more than just that it's pretty, one of the things that I really enjoyed about this is that, despite that he'll never hope to match Sephiroth's size, Cloud actually has muscle definition here. And, hell, even though it was mostly the two of them lounging around in bed or kissing and touching in bed, it still had some really sweet scenes and the occasional bit of spark/fight between them, which is always fun for a SxC fan to see. But mostly it's just really pretty and really fun and have I mentioned in the last five minutes how hot Sephiroth is? Because it bears repeating. (Sephiroth/Cloud, a light NC-17.)
Katekyou Hitman REBORN! doujinshi (raw): Gatto in otto - [Note: This post is locked, but the comm should be freely joinable.] This doujinshi is a bit of an odd one to describe, because it has a certain style that I see often in the REBORN! fandom, but I don't really have the words for it. It's pretty and has some interesting detail, but there's a sort of... I don't know, a sharpness to it, maybe? A stick-like sharpness, especially on Squalo. Not that there's a lot of Xanxus in this story to judge by, it's mostly Squalo going out, going back, sleeping, a black cat wandering around, Squalo touching himself to memories of Xanxus fucking him, then more sleeping, etc. It's interesting and I'm glad to have snagged it, but it is sort of hard to describe. Still, I needed a good KHR fix and this helped nicely. (Xanxus/Squalo, NC-17.)
Kateyou Hitman REBORN! doujinshi (scanslated): 0c. (Zero color) - [Note: This post is locked, but the comm should be freely joinable.] Oh, man, my heart. I have this weakness for Byakuran/Shouichi that won't go away and doujinshi like this just play right into that. Whatever else might happen, the feelings that were there between them were real at least, and that's just what I wanted to read right now. The art is lovely, it captures Amano's style really well, but is probably even a little prettier at times and the characterization of both Byakuran and Shouichi is very nicely done. It's a simple sort of story--little moments from the Millefiore along the way, the developing feelings that show through, etc. And yet it's a really lovely doujinshi to have read today. ♥ And, oh, my fangirl heart in that final scene--! (Byakuran/Shouichi.)
Kateyou Hitman REBORN! doujinshi (scanslated): Kiss wa Choco no Aji!? - [Note: This post is locked, but the comm should be freely joinable.] To be honest, I was a little disappointed in the art from this doujinshi, because I expect better of B.S. CO's more current work, but this felt almost like going backwards for them. It's still solidly done and I kind of loved the story part of it a lot, but I was just surprised that the art wasn't better. THAT SAID, I fucking love Valentine's Day stuff and this was super cute and I really, really loved that the doujinshi started out with the line: Despite the fact that Namimori Middle School Disciplinary Committee Chairman Hibari Kyouya is anti-social... having a very keen mind and an attractive face gets him an abundance of sweets every February. I love that, basically, despite his horrible personality, because HE HAS A PRETTY FACE, he gets so many chocolates he doesn't know what to do with them! He gets them from guys, too! Just asl;dkfjals;kj I love Hibari so much sometimes. (Dino/Hibari, NC-17.)
One Piece doujinshi (scanslated): A Kiss Coram Populo - Oh, man, why did I stay away from One Piece doujinshi for so long? I'll grant you that the art is on the rough side, but there's a ton of potential and the occasional really beautiful panel and, okay, the reasoning for Sanji acting weird is pushing it a little. But beyond that? This is why I love the ZoSan fandom so goddamned much. Because I shrieked with laughter the whole way through this, not just at Zoro and Sanji, but at the whole Strawhat crew! I love that the whole crew has a moment at least once, a moment that probably made me howl with laughter just in the same way Oda does, right down to the beautiful comedic timing of it. Sure, I appreciated the kiss and I found the Zoro/Sanji super hot, but honestly. I think I laughed the hardest during the scene on the main deck where everyone got involved in the ZoSan fight. Just. Everything about this one, where Sanji is acting weird and telling Zoro not to touch his face and then Zoro getting Chopper involved, just. Beautiful. ♥ (Zoro/Sanji.)
One Piece doujinshi (scanslated): Not Everyone Can Do It + Overnight Extra Menu - There are two doujinshi here (the second one is only eight pages long, though) and they're both by the same doujinshika as the previous rec, Saruya Hachi, who has just rocketed up to the TOP OF MY FAVORITE ZOSAN DOUJINSHIKA LIST after these. They're more of the brilliant comedic timing the doujinshika has, along with solid art and the potential for something even better. I love that the author keeps the Zoro/Sanji dynamic very similar to canon--they constantly fight at the slightest provocation, but she puts so much more underneath it and they have their more genuine moments, but. Even the sex is hilarious! I seriously laughed harder than I can tell you in the middle of the sex from the first link here and the second one was almost as hilarious. I love that it's almost sort of slice of their lives stuff (Zoro/Sanji fighting, so Nami puts them in a corner, Zoro constantly sleeping, Sanji wondering if he's being avoided, the Strawhats being idiots around them, then hilarious sex) and yet they just fly right on by. One Piece doujinshi (scanslated): Your Voice - While this is a different doujinshika/circle this time, Shounen Spectre, there's still more super-hilarious ZoSan sex that had me kind of stuffing my hand over my face to muffled the laughter, less I actually kind of shriek with it at at least one point. The art is much stronger in this one, perhaps slightly more away from Oda's style, but still very reminiscent of the style, yet kind of prettier? It's hard to describe. But I really like the doujishika's style and I fucking love Zoro's warped way of thinking, after hearing a rumor about what kind of noises girls make during the climax of sex, so he's bound and determined to get Sanji to make the same sound, even if it kills them both. It's hilarious, but it's also kind of hot (the sex scenes are very pretty) and I love that, even when they're fucking, there's that push-and-push-back dynamic that is so great with the two of them. ♥ (Zoro/Sanji, NC-17.)
One Piece doujinshi (scanslated): Haru Kaze + Sugar Fix + S.D.S! - [Note: This post is locked, but the comm should be freely joinable.] Oh, man, a whole anthology of Luffy/Sanji doujinshi? DO WANT. And there are three stories from it on this post, which totally made me sit up and pay attention when I saw it, let me tell you. The first two (Haru Kaze and Sugar Fix) are both really cute modern AUs that I really liked, there was a certain sweetness to them that was just kind of charming. I also really liked the art and, hey, high school uniforms (in the first one) can never go wrong. But it was the third one (S.D.S!) that was my real favorite--it's set in canon, just a random trip to a regular island, Luffy going exploring, Sanji off shopping, until the whole crew meets back on the ship, and Luffy doesn't know which part of his crazy adventure to talk about first! It's a great LuSan dynamic, it's partly funny (Luffy is seriously my favorite forever for the stuff he brings back or the way he approaches any given situation), it's partly kind of hot when Luffy drags Sanji into a kiss, but mostly it's just that kind of heart-warming adventure that I love about OP. And it was kind of beautifully in character, too. ♥ (Luffy/Sanji.)
One Piece doujinshi (scanslated): Kaisui Pearl (Saltwater Pearl) - [Note: This post is locked, but the comm should be freely joinable.] Another Yamato/Ichioku doujinshi and, goddamn, this is why she's probably my favorite pretty much ever. It's a simple story--Sanji is hurt, Zoro is watching over him, Sanji is in a world with people he used to know who passed on, Zoro is left behind, and they both are forced to face the feelings they have--but it's done beautifully and I may have actually put my hand over my heart a little at the end because I was so touched. The art is lovely as always, Yamato really does a fantastic job with making both characters look super hot, but also IC in how they bicker and yell and yet there are these amazingly heartwrenching moments with both of them and everything they go through. And, oh, Robin was a delight in this and the ending was super satisfying (despite the lack of porn!) and it was just wonderful, every single panel of it. ♥ (Zoro/Sanji.)

- Durarara!! - [ Pixiv Account ] - I meant to stick to just looking at One Piece today, with maybe a detour or two. But no big series, because I'd get sucked into them, I feared. But then I saw this Shizuo/Izaya image of them in formal wedding outfits (Shizuo in a tuxedo, Izaya in a wedding dress) and laughed kind of really hard and then kind of went *__* really hard because it is super fucking pretty. There's also a vampire!Shizuo biting Izaya's neck image and it's kind of like Japan knows me right about then. There might not be a lot of art here (I'd say about 12 images on the Durarara!! tag), but they're all fantastically well drawn with some excellent lines, some fantastic anime cel-style coloring, and both characters looking super hot. And also some really fangirl-worthy poses, which is always important. :D (Shizuo/Izaya.) - Naruto - [ Pixiv Account ] - Again, I meant to stick just to One Piece today, but somehow wound up wandering a bit and then ended up on a Naruto artist. Which I can't really complain about, because this one was kind of really fun! There's a nicely varied (at least from the usual Naruto art I find myself stumbling over) selection here, mostly focusing on the Sand Village characters, maybe a little Akatsuki (though, mostly Sasori there, obviously) and then a little bit of Konoha with special attention to Team 10 and the occasional image of Naruto himself. The art is very solid and cute, it's nicely done and has some warm colors, and the occasional beautiful Naruto piece or super adorable Halloween piece that I totally had fun with. (....too many ships, no consistency, you could almost see it as gen? Idk.) - Naruto - [ Pixiv Account ] - I continue to have my weaknesses when it comes to fandom and a set of cute chibis is still one of those things. There might not be a lot of art here and I wish there had been more chibis, because that's where the artist really excels and it seems like their art is the strongest, but this was a cute, fun little account to stumble over today, especially since I'd already gotten sidetracked with Naruto art and just wanted a small KakaIru fix. This totally provided that for me. :D (Some Kakashi/Iruka, some gen.) - Naruto - [ Pixiv Account ] - Oh, man, I totally came here for the adorable young team 7 art, but then the artist hit me with Naruto and Kushina and Minato and Kushina with baby Naruto and even a little Sasuke/Karin and I was totally sunk. I really like the artist's use of colors, sometimes darker and sometimes just these really bright, vivid colors that look beautiful, along with their strong lineart and ability to make the characters look totally adorable or totally awesome. I don't always focus my search on the team 7 characters, but it's nice to come across artists like this when I do, because this was totally satisfying today. (No real warnings/pairings.) - Naruto - [ Pixiv Account ] - I admit, I wish there were more proper color art from this artist, because this one of Kakashi, Kushina, and Minato wishing Naruto a happy birthday is kind of fantastic, but. It's hard to complain when the artist also gives me beautifully done black&white art like this as well. It's a fun account, there's a lot of b&w images or sketches with some lightly done colors, there's a lot of little moments between the characters, and it's... I guess it's hard to describe? But it was one of those sites that gave me a nice fix today and had some really cute little images along the way. <3 (Maybe a little Kakashi/Naruto? I'm firmly taking it as gen, though, shut up.) - Naruto - [ Pixiv Account ] - Do you know what else I'm all the hell over? Minato, Kushina, and baby Naruto, I eat that kind of thing up like it's delicious candy and people need to provide me more of it. I love the sharpness this artist often has with the characters, especially when it comes to Kushina and her beautiful long as hell red hair. I mostly came here for those two characters, but I occasionally got distracted away by the very nice SasuNaru art or the occasional beautiful Itachi image or gorgeous Naruto and kitsune image (the colors on that one are fantastic), rounding things out nicely here. It's not a huge account, but it was satisfying for what I was after this morning. (Some Naruto/Sasuke, some Minato/Kushina, some gen.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - There are two really great things about this artist's account--one, that there's a solid amount of art and, of course, it's very pretty stuff. But, two, there's some really interesting match-ups and characters that you don't see always. Like, Sengoku and Garp or an awesome one of Coby, Garp, Sengoku, and Aokiji or a really nicely done image of Izou or an awesome poster-style image of the Whitebeard War saga or Ace, Luffy, and Makino or STRONGWORLD Luffy or Ace and Hancock or-- well, you get the idea. There's some of the more popular characters as well, but sometimes it's nice to run into a really interesting artist who does a variety of characters like this. I enjoyed it a lot. (No real warnings/pairings.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I'm going to have a little trouble describing why I liked this artist's work so much when I kind of maybe shouldn't? The art is very well done, the lines are fantastic and the darker colors work really well with the strong inking and the detail is great, but... it's not nice art? That's the best way I can put it. It's Doflamingo/Crocodile and that pairing tends to come with a lot of not-nice kinks--not that this artist is particularly hardcore about it (though, there is that one series of images....) but that it's not going to be for everyone. But I have this thing with the Doflamingo/Crocodile ship. I don't want it to be nice or fluffy. So, when Crocodile is tied up or chained down or there's a fist in his hair, all while he's still wearing those awesome (and gorgeous) suits of his, I'm kind of all over art that's as well done as this. Not for everyone, but if you like this ship, I think you might like this artist. (Doflamingo/Crocodile, NSFW often times.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - Okay, there's only a handful of art here, which had me debating for awhile, but eventually I had to cave because some of the art was just kind of really interesting. I stumbled over the artist because of their Halloween images that were really adorable, but then stayed for the just as adorable image of Ace and Bepo (there's also some great art of Bepo and Whitebeard, Bepo and Law) and then Salad Marco and I am just all over that trend on Pixiv. So, the artist's stuff wound up being a lot of fun! (No real warnings/pairings.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - Do you know what's another thing I love? A really cute Zoro/Nami piece to catch my attention that'll lead me back to an account that has a bunch more really cute art with shoujo, sparkly, bright colors that are totally my thing. Also, there is hotass Zoro. And a STRONGWORLD inspired Luffy/Nami hug. And Nami and Namizou in awesome clothes. And Luffy and Zoro both hugging Nami in their own ways with more warm, almost shoujo-style coloring. And, really, I wanted to say something coherent about this artist, how the lineart is really good in a lot of images, how I like the colors, how I'm totally in love with their love for Nami, etc. But then there's Nami at four stages in her life all bundled together or the Durarara!! pairing with Nami (or Namizou) in the Strawhats' outfits and I'm just too *___*♥ to be coherent. This artist is totally my kind of thing, I have to admit. *___* (Some Zoro/Nami, some Luffy/Nami, some other/Nami, a few NC-17 images, but there's also some gen.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - Another account that doesn't necessarily have a ton of art (though, you can find quite a few sketches in the multi-page links) but, screw you guys, all bets are off when I come across Roger and Rouge art that's beautiful and almost sort of shoujo-esque. I have a bit of a thing for them, I'll pretty much drop whatever else to find art for them sometimes because the possibilities of what might have been (despite that we know very little about Rouge other than her willpower was something fierce and we barely know much more about Roger) and just. They make a really beautiful pair in fanart sometimes. So, yeah. I'm all over that. But also! Halloween!Ace being adorable! And some fun sketches (watch out, though, that last one is a killer) and tiny Luffy with Kid and Law and kidlet Ace and Rouge and-- well, yes. It was enough to totally win me over. (Vaguely shippy sometimes, but enough to count.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - Granted, I have a lot of weaknesses when it comes to One Piece, but Zoro/Robin is genuinely among them. Maybe not one I seek out as often as I do other ships, but when I come across it? Yeah, I'm all over it. So I jumped at this account when I saw the most recent (at the time, of course) image of Zoro slinging Robin over his shoulder in their STRONGWORLD clothes and, sure, I could have done without the pantyshot of it, but otherwise! Kind of totally my thing! Then the artist sealed the deal with me by having a really cute Luffy/Nami post-time skip image that I liked and a whoooole lot more Zoro/Robin. The earlier the art, the less sure it is, so it's probably not going to be for everyone (or non-Zoro/Robin fans) but I think the artist shows a lot of potential in images like post-time-skip Zoro/Robin or Zoro/Robin in black & white or this series of meme answers. I'd like to see where they go from here, too. (Zoro/Robin, a smidge of Luffy/Nami. Occasionally NSFW.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - And, well, who am I to let a One Piece recs post go by without throwing some Zoro/Sanji art in there as well? Not that I really intended to, but then I stumbled over a completely adorable Halloween chibis image, followed the image back, discovered more hilarious chibi Halloween art and nicely done post-time-skip art and ZoSan porn. So, you know, I was pretty much instantly sold. Not that the artist isn't talented, she does some really nice colors, I love the bright, almost dreamy feel or the sunshiney feel that they often have, I love how you can totally feel the artist's love for Sanji even aside from him being the majority of the focus, or when she does Sanji resting under a sakura tree she has this... certain charm to it that I'm just all over. And I love that feeling, that squeeful feeling I have when I look at Zoro slinging Sanji over his shoulder like a bag of rice (totally my favorite way of carrying another person), it's such a fun time to be in the ZoSan fandom when I come across artists like this. (Zoro/Sanji, some NSFW, some gen.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I debated on this account for awhile, since there are only 12 links (at the time of this rec) even if some of them are multi-page or multi-panel comics, and one of the images that initially caught my eye was of Spandam. Granted, it's not every day you see really nicely done Spandam art, but still. I want that dude to DIAF already. But then! Lucci and Kaku that's really, really nicely done! And Shanks rescuing Ace and the D brothers and then a comic that just about made me start bawling all over again. I kind of have to give a thumbs up to an artist who can make me do that, "... *hard sigh*" after looking at their art, because it brought it all up again. All in all, a really interesting collection and I'd like to see more from this artist. (No real warnings/pairings.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I think I would have recommended this site just for the sheer novelty of finding a Marco/Crocodile shipper's collection of art! MARCO and CROCODILE! I don't think I'd seen that done even once before, to be honest. But! I love novelty! And this artist does some really kind of amazing work, the detail on both Crocodile and Marco is really fantastic and, while there's only a handful of images here, they're all on the same level of quality. I do wish the images were a smidge bigger, just to appreciate all that attention she's put into the images, but I appreciate art like this just existing. :Db (Some Marco/Crocodile, some gen.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - Oh! Speaking of ships that I can't ignore if I'm doing a One Piece recommendations spree! Especially if it's a Pixiv spree! Ace/Luffy is one of those ships that I never thought I'd like... and then along came the Whitebeard War saga and, wham, FAN FOR LIFE. And I love artist like this, even if there's not a whole lot of art here, you get things like Halloween cuteness or Pirate King!Ace + Revolutionary!Luffy (with Dragon's tattoooossss on Luffy's face, did not know how much I wanted that until I saw it here) or grown up Ace, Luffy, and Sabo (my heartttttt) or even just total adorable cuteness with almost-kisses and hugs. The artist's style is just enough like Oda's in spirit that I enjoyed it that much more, and I was just. Really happy to stumble over this one today. ♥ (Ace/Luffy.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - After the previous recommendation, I told myself that I was going to go do something else for awhile, since I'd just done 10 recs in a row and needed a break. But I had just one more tab to clear out of my browser first... and it was a fun Halloween vampire!Zoro image that I thought had some really good lineart to it. Okay, I'll just quick check out the gallery, real fast. And then the artist gave me Sadie-chan-style!Sanji and okay. See. One Piece fandom has done this thing to me where I fucking love stuff like this now. Especially when it's well-drawn! So, I was all over the image. And then the artist gave me post-time-skip walking along and more hilarity with ZoSan and then Zoro pushing Sanji down who is wrapping his legs around Zoro and, why, thank you, yes, that was very nice of you, Pixiv! Plus, there's no way in which this pirate!Zoro/Sanji image is not completely fucking awesome. Plus, to top it all of, this image of VOCALOID!Zoro is the funniest goddamned thing I've seen just about ever. The artist combines solid art style and either awesome or hilarious or hot concepts for the image and just. Makes me fall in love all over again. ♥ (Zoro/Sanji. Occasional vague NSFW art.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I wasn't sure I was going to recommend this account at first, since there's only eight images on it so far, but... well, the first image I saw of Law snuggled into bed and then there were a handful of Kid/Law images (I'm a sucker for novelty once again--though, that ship isn't that rare, all things considered, I don't think?) and then... well, Ace, Luffy, and Sabo and Iceberg/Franky when they were kids and, well. This artist clearly knew the way to get to me. But I really do like the warm, almost earthy sort of colors, the tons of detail the artist puts into their work, and how they just made me want to smile. That's what I keep going back to fanart for! (Some Kid/Law, some other, some gen.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I think what gets me about this artist is the obvious affection and adoration they have for the D-Brothers and how it sweeps me right up in it, even if the images themselves aren't perfect. But I don't want to know the person who can look at Ace giving Luffy a piggyback ride when they were kids or Garp holding a sleeping Luffy and putting a bandaid on Ace's face when they were kids or this series of Ace sketches or this series of Ace images or Ace, Luffy, and Sabo and not just completely fall in love. The art is similar enough to the OP style to make me smile, but it's something more in the way that the artist... I don't know, gets across a certain feeling, the way they smile or the hugs the characters give each other, that's what I really responded to with this artist, I think. Also, I'm totally an Ace fangirl and this artist clearly adores him as well, so. That helped, too! (No real warnings/pairings.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - Another one where I hesitated a bit, some of the earlier art could use some polishing (which the artist clearly did), there's not a ton of art here, a fair amount of them are borderline ecchi, but... oh, man, how hard do I love Luffy kicking Sakazuki's ass and then Luffy kicking Kizaru's ass, TWO OF THE PEOPLE WHO DESERVE IT THE MOST. Those two images were worth it pretty much RIGHT THERE. I also enjoyed Sanjiko in a very pretty dress and I don't oppose the Luffy/Robin art, so, you know. It was an interesting site with some really out of the park images along the way. (Some gen, some Luffy/Robin, occasional NSFW content.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I'll admit upfront that this artist isn't going to be for everyone, because there's some graphic Zoro/Robin sex and a lot of Robin nakedness strewn throughout the images. But if that doesn't bother you, then this is a gorgeous set of artwork, the kind where I can look at the images every time I come across this artist's account and still stop and stare. Santa-themed Zoro/Robin or the two of them sitting back to back on the main deck with one of his swords in her lap as she reads and he naps (which is my favorite, the colors are gorgeous, the lines are gorgeous, the pose is gorgeous, everything is gorgeous), or even Ace vs Aokiji (which my heart cries out for not getting), all of them are fantastic. Even the simple ones of his sword at her throat and hand in her hair, her hands coming up to hold onto him, or the Strawhats group image (you can tell I love this artist because I can't stop linking images *__*) they all manage to capture something of the series or just be really hot. I looooove this artist kind of a lot. ♥ (Zoro/Robin, some gen, watch out for a fair amount of NC-17.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - This is another one of those accounts where I feel I should put a big warning on about the hentai art found on these pages, almost like I should feel badly for liking the artist's work, except... aside from the exaggerated porn style, the artist actually does some really delightful pieces! Luffy protecting Nami during STRONGWORLD, Nami trying to get back the recording while Luffy tries to keept it out of her hands, Luffy and Nami in their Fruit Warriors costumes, another STRONGWORLD touching moment with the two of them, a really kind of excellent Luffy/Nami kiss, and so on. If you can step lightly, there's some really fun stuff and I like the artist's very bright, solid coloring and, of course, I love how much you can feel their affection for the LuNa ship. And yet there's also a lot of affection for Hancock and a fondness for school uniforms (which I approve of) and the occasional bit of everything else. I always wind up really enjoying this artist whenever I come across a new image of theirs. ♥ (Luffy/Nami, some one-sided Luffy/Hancock, occasionally NC-17.) - One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - This artist has a handful of really amazing images that I fall for every time I come across them again, no matter how many times. Franky, Chopper, and Sanji in the blue, blue ocean with all the fish and dolphins is my favorite, because it's just beautiful to look at and captures the sense of adventure of the series so very well. But I'm also fond of a more serious Sanji with chocolate and Sanji in the sunset, which are both also just beautiful to look at. There might not be a ton of art here, but the artist is definitely capable of doing some really excellent work, especially if it's Sanji-centric. (No warnings/pairings.) - Princess Tutu - [ Pixiv Account ] - [The artist also has a deviantART account.] The art here is occasionally a bit on the simpler side with the lineart and there's not a ton of images here, but... I was slowly won over by Fakia and Ahiru with kids and by the Fakia/Ahiru fairy tale ending and pop art style Kraehe and Fakia as the Dark Prince, along with the artist's poster-style images that looked really good and the multi-page comic you can find on her devART account. All of it added up to be this really charming, wonderful trip through the Princess Tutu fandom again, which I adored. ♥ (Fakia/Ahiru, some gen.) - Princess Tutu - [ Pixiv Account ] - Again, there might not be a lot of images here, but I don't care because I get lovely stuff like Fakia and Ahiru in swimwear (and in each other's laps, why, thank you, Pixiv) and the two of them as kids and Fakia kissing Ahiru's hand as they fall through the air together. All things I am totally weak to! I just randomly got on this Tutu kick this afternoon after stumbling over an image and this is the kind of artwork that I love to find, the kind that reignites my shipper heart but is also lovely to look at, with cute colors and cute concepts for them. A delight to find today! (Fakia/Ahiru.) - Professor Layton - [ English Fanart Site ] - I've fallen behind with both the Layton fandom and the games themselves, but it's artists like this that bring the love I had for them just flooding right back. I first stumbled over Luke and Layton in London, which is really fantastically done and probably still my very favorite of this artist's, but then I also stumbled over Layton and Luke in the rain as they pick up a frog, which is just ten different kinds of total adorable. The artist really captures the charming feel of the series and the characters, the simple yet beautiful style of the art, and you can really feel the affection in the images. This is totally one of my favorites for the fandom now. ♥ (No warnings/pairings.)Final Fantasy VII doujinshi (raw): Rendezvous - [Note: This post is locked, but the comm should be freely joinable. You can find the link for the doujinshi in the comments--be warned, the files are rather huge.] I really, really enjoy a good Sephiroth/Cloud doujinshi, especially if it has pretty art. This artist is really good, professional-level quality (considering a lot of the manga I've seen), and it shows in her work here. But it's more than just that it's pretty, one of the things that I really enjoyed about this is that, despite that he'll never hope to match Sephiroth's size, Cloud actually has muscle definition here. And, hell, even though it was mostly the two of them lounging around in bed or kissing and touching in bed, it still had some really sweet scenes and the occasional bit of spark/fight between them, which is always fun for a SxC fan to see. But mostly it's just really pretty and really fun and have I mentioned in the last five minutes how hot Sephiroth is? Because it bears repeating. (Sephiroth/Cloud, a light NC-17.)
Katekyou Hitman REBORN! doujinshi (raw): Gatto in otto - [Note: This post is locked, but the comm should be freely joinable.] This doujinshi is a bit of an odd one to describe, because it has a certain style that I see often in the REBORN! fandom, but I don't really have the words for it. It's pretty and has some interesting detail, but there's a sort of... I don't know, a sharpness to it, maybe? A stick-like sharpness, especially on Squalo. Not that there's a lot of Xanxus in this story to judge by, it's mostly Squalo going out, going back, sleeping, a black cat wandering around, Squalo touching himself to memories of Xanxus fucking him, then more sleeping, etc. It's interesting and I'm glad to have snagged it, but it is sort of hard to describe. Still, I needed a good KHR fix and this helped nicely. (Xanxus/Squalo, NC-17.)

I have this weakness for Byakuran/Shouichi that won't go away and doujinshi like this just play right into that. Whatever else might happen, the feelings that were there between them were real at least, and that's just what I wanted to read right now. The art is lovely, it captures Amano's style really well, but is probably even a little prettier at times and the characterization of both Byakuran and Shouichi is very nicely done. It's a simple sort of story--little moments from the Millefiore along the way, the developing feelings that show through, etc. And yet it's a really lovely doujinshi to have read today. ♥ And, oh, my fangirl heart in that final scene--! Kateyou Hitman REBORN! doujinshi (scanslated): Kiss wa Choco no Aji!? - [Note: This post is locked, but the comm should be freely joinable.] To be honest, I was a little disappointed in the art from this doujinshi, because I expect better of B.S. CO's more current work, but this felt almost like going backwards for them. It's still solidly done and I kind of loved the story part of it a lot, but I was just surprised that the art wasn't better. THAT SAID, I fucking love Valentine's Day stuff and this was super cute and I really, really loved that the doujinshi started out with the line: Despite the fact that Namimori Middle School Disciplinary Committee Chairman Hibari Kyouya is anti-social... having a very keen mind and an attractive face gets him an abundance of sweets every February. I love that, basically, despite his horrible personality, because HE HAS A PRETTY FACE, he gets so many chocolates he doesn't know what to do with them! He gets them from guys, too! One Piece doujinshi (scanslated): A Kiss Coram Populo - Oh, man, why did I stay away from One Piece doujinshi for so long? I'll grant you that the art is on the rough side, but there's a ton of potential and the occasional really beautiful panel and, okay, the reasoning for Sanji acting weird is pushing it a little. But beyond that? This is why I love the ZoSan fandom so goddamned much. Because I shrieked with laughter the whole way through this, not just at Zoro and Sanji, but at the whole Strawhat crew! I love that the whole crew has a moment at least once, a moment that probably made me howl with laughter just in the same way Oda does, right down to the beautiful comedic timing of it. Sure, I appreciated the kiss and I found the Zoro/Sanji super hot, but honestly. I think I laughed the hardest during the scene on the main deck where everyone got involved in the ZoSan fight. Just. Everything about this one, where Sanji is acting weird and telling Zoro not to touch his face and then Zoro getting Chopper involved, just. Beautiful. ♥ (Zoro/Sanji.)
One Piece doujinshi (scanslated): Not Everyone Can Do It + Overnight Extra Menu - There are two doujinshi here (the second one is only eight pages long, though) and they're both by the same doujinshika as the previous rec, Saruya Hachi, who has just rocketed up to the TOP OF MY FAVORITE ZOSAN DOUJINSHIKA LIST after these. They're more of the brilliant comedic timing the doujinshika has, along with solid art and the potential for something even better. I love that the author keeps the Zoro/Sanji dynamic very similar to canon--they constantly fight at the slightest provocation, but she puts so much more underneath it and they have their more genuine moments, but. Even the sex is hilarious! I seriously laughed harder than I can tell you in the middle of the sex from the first link here and the second one was almost as hilarious. I love that it's almost sort of slice of their lives stuff (Zoro/Sanji fighting, so Nami puts them in a corner, Zoro constantly sleeping, Sanji wondering if he's being avoided, the Strawhats being idiots around them, then hilarious sex) and yet they just fly right on by. I could read these forever. ♥ (Zoro/Sanji, a light NC-17.)
One Piece doujinshi (scanslated): Your Voice - While this is a different doujinshika/circle this time, Shounen Spectre, there's still more super-hilarious ZoSan sex that had me kind of stuffing my hand over my face to muffled the laughter, less I actually kind of shriek with it at at least one point. The art is much stronger in this one, perhaps slightly more away from Oda's style, but still very reminiscent of the style, yet kind of prettier? It's hard to describe. But I really like the doujishika's style and I fucking love Zoro's warped way of thinking, after hearing a rumor about what kind of noises girls make during the climax of sex, so he's bound and determined to get Sanji to make the same sound, even if it kills them both. It's hilarious, but it's also kind of hot (the sex scenes are very pretty) and I love that, even when they're fucking, there's that push-and-push-back dynamic that is so great with the two of them. ♥ (Zoro/Sanji, NC-17.)
One Piece doujinshi (scanslated): Haru Kaze + Sugar Fix + S.D.S! - [Note: This post is locked, but the comm should be freely joinable.] Oh, man, a whole anthology of Luffy/Sanji doujinshi? DO WANT. And there are three stories from it on this post, which totally made me sit up and pay attention when I saw it, let me tell you. The first two (Haru Kaze and Sugar Fix) are both really cute modern AUs that I really liked, there was a certain sweetness to them that was just kind of charming. I also really liked the art and, hey, high school uniforms (in the first one) can never go wrong. But it was the third one (S.D.S!) that was my real favorite--it's set in canon, just a random trip to a regular island, Luffy going exploring, Sanji off shopping, until the whole crew meets back on the ship, and Luffy doesn't know which part of his crazy adventure to talk about first! It's a great LuSan dynamic, it's partly funny (Luffy is seriously my favorite forever for the stuff he brings back or the way he approaches any given situation), it's partly kind of hot when Luffy drags Sanji into a kiss, but mostly it's just that kind of heart-warming adventure that I love about OP. And it was kind of beautifully in character, too. ♥ (Luffy/Sanji.)
One Piece doujinshi (scanslated): Kaisui Pearl (Saltwater Pearl) - [Note: This post is locked, but the comm should be freely joinable.] Another Yamato/Ichioku doujinshi and, goddamn, this is why she's probably my favorite pretty much ever. It's a simple story--Sanji is hurt, Zoro is watching over him, Sanji is in a world with people he used to know who passed on, Zoro is left behind, and they both are forced to face the feelings they have--but it's done beautifully and I may have actually put my hand over my heart a little at the end because I was so touched. The art is lovely as always, Yamato really does a fantastic job with making both characters look super hot, but also IC in how they bicker and yell and yet there are these amazingly heartwrenching moments with both of them and everything they go through. And, oh, Robin was a delight in this and the ending was super satisfying (despite the lack of porn!) and it was just wonderful, every single panel of it. ♥ (Zoro/Sanji.)
