tomomichiNotes/Babbling: *rubs eyes and hisses at all fannish things* I have approximately four Tenipuri fanart sites open right now, one FMA one, and about ten more links that are on my "immediately go through" list for rec'ing. They're all very, very pretty. However, I am about to drop dead, so this is all you're getting for this morning. *fangs*

- Prince of Tennis - Polaris [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - I don't even remember how I stumbled across this site in the first place tonight, but I suspect I was looking for TezuOishi fanart and happened to come across the banner for this site. What I really like about the artist's work is that she uses that softener filter really well--she doesn't overdo it, but puts on just enough of it to give her art an almost glowy feel to them. It makes them feel very... warm. Her lines are occasionally a little off, but then she'll do this gorgeous InuKai and I'm all raburabu over the images again. Her colors and shading are also terrific. It's mostly an InuKai site, but there are occasional illustrations of the characters to keep me interested, and, hell, it's not like she doesn't do a fabulous Kaidoh. *hearts* (InuiKaidoh.)
- Full Metal Alchemist - akuta-ya [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - The more and more I explored this site, the more and more I just fell in love with it. The artist uses these softer, muted colors (that are almost golden and slate blue combinations that work so well for FMA) and these gorgeous lines and tones to her art that just has me a wibbling mess in the corner. And the content! She does some of the most WONDERFUL Elric-family art (the Elric Kyoudai or Ed and Al with their mother *LOVES*), there are a couple of illustrations of Ed leaning into Al's hand with this look on his face that just makes you want to give him a hug. And then there's the Roy/Ed. *fangirls* The artist never draws anything too risque, but manages to capture the intimancy and chemistry of the pairing so well--there are a couple of illustrations of Roy leaning over to kiss Ed that just make me *____*. There's also a beautiful comic tucked away in the FMA section of Roy lying down next to a sleeping Ed (they're both almost fully clothed, the only thing missing is Roy's jacket and they never even touch) that just took my breath away with how stunning it was. This site was a real treasure. *loves* (Some gen, some Roy/Ed.)
- Full Metal Alchemist - Cat Walk [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - This is one of those sites that I sat on the fence for awhile at first, but kept going through it on my own because I liked the artist. And the further I got into her gallery, the more her art began to tighten up and get really pretty; her lines/underlying lineart is the artist's strong point, followed up with her use of softer colors, combinging to make some really pretty art. Her eyes are just lovely and there's this one of Ed and Roy both in military uniforms lounging against jungle cats that's just gorgeous. There's also a White Day illustration with about-to-kiss-RoyEd that made me fangirl really hard because it was so pretty. And that's what I love about a site--when an artist can do a Roy/Ed that makes me go *___* and I love the soft, light, airy feel to the art. Plus, she draws a very, very pretty Lust. *fangirls* (Some Roy/Ed.)
- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - Wow, did I fall in love with this artist fast. Admittedly, some of her earlier illustrations are a little on the rough side, but her latest stuff is absolutely stunning. There are a couple of Roy and Ed in the rain that use these beautifully soft colors and these amazingly intimate poses without them even touching each other that just take my breath away. There are others where the feeling of the illustrations just comes across fantastically, really evoking a response with me, and making me fall further in love with these characters than I already was. However, as much as I love, love, love the regular gallery, the comics/manga section had an omake that was just... wow. The lines were absolutely incredible, the details amazing, the poses and shading just beautiful. I can't sing its praises high enough. And if that weren't enough, it has kissing and Ed in military uniform! I love Ed in military uniform. This site so made my night. ♥ ♥ (Roy/Ed.)
- Full Metal Alchemist - RARE [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - I think I knew that when I got to naked!Ed who was smirking while leaning into Roy that I knew I loved this site. XD The artist actually does her best work with b&w images, I think, because it shows off the incredible shading she does and lets you focus on her really solid, pretty lineart. Though, there is this one of Ed and Al in color (Ed leaning on Al's armor, Al with a bird in his head) that's just lovely and there are a couple of Ed illustrations early on in the gallery that are just wonderful for him. But it's the Roy/Ed that really, really captures my head--Roy sweetly carrying Ed to bed, leaning into him while he does so or Ed looking up with a sweet expression at him or the smirking, nekkid!Ed illustration or so on. They're just... beautiful and fun and really capture the feeling of the characters. This site was very, very nice to go through today. ♥ (Roy/Ed, some gen.)
