Notes/Babbling: Not a whole lot, but I'm just gleefully glad to be able to surf fanart again and I had at least three recs (plus, I'm working on an archive update, so I wanted to get these in as long as I had them written already), so here we go anyway. ^_~
Series:
Full Metal Alchemist - 2 Fanart
    One Piece - 1 Fanart

- Full Metal Alchemist - La. [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I think it was the comics on this site that eventually won me completely over... either that or the one of a sleeping Roy draped over Ed (who's awake and reading) in bed that was just... the colors were subtly done (interestingly mostly only pinks and yellows, with a little bit of green in the corner), making the image look almost sketch-like, but it worked for the image and made me fangirl SO HARD. It was one of those images that told a little story just with the picture itself, made me just see the scene in my head, and we all know what a sucker I am for that kind of thing. ♥ But the comics were also wonderful, because certain pages or panels of them would just be amazingly drawn, in that way that's not necessarily quite traditionally pretty, but that gets to me somehow. The amount of detail the artist has put into them is also just fantastic, it isn't just sketches or quickly thrown together, the artis really took her time with the pages and it shows. Plus, there was one with some very nice limish content and I'm also a sucker for that. Toss in some nice one-shot illustrations (there's an incredible one of Winry, there's a couple of really fantastic Ed/Al/Winry ones, one stand-alone Roy/Ed with Roy pressing his head to Ed's stomach, arms around his waist that's really... touching and rather heartbreaking from the posture alone, even though you can't even see their faces you know they're hurting ;__;, and a couple of wonderful stand-alone Ed illustrations as well) and this was a really fun site to go through that I liked a lot. (Some Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - G2 [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Oh, jeez, I can't help it, while Ed is very chibi-ish in the art here (which may turn some people off--not that they're really doing much of anything, mind you), I couldn't help wibbling over just how damned cute the art was. It helps that the artist has an incredible strength in the the crispness and smoothness of her lines, along with a really strong sense for color and shading, and a goodly amount of details, making the art look rather professional-like. Plus, there's this one image of inu!Ed where Roy's picking him up and sort of looking at him like, "What the...?" to Ed's annoyed >_> expression, which just makes the image. XDXD Plus, good lord, the Valentine's Day one, with Ed with a chocolate in his mouth, leaning in towards Roy to share, was just SO DAMNED CUTE. And, really, that's what I love about this site--that it got me to coo over the cuteness of her drawings and flail happily over this pairing that I've become so hooked on. Not necessarily for everyone, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. (Roy/Ed.)

- One Piece - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site is one of those OP sites that shows just how amazingly popular the series is in the J-fandoms, because it attracts artists like this one--the artist's CG work is amazing, just really professional looking. Right down to her colors, shading, and lines, she draws art that's almost on the same level as the anime art itself, which isn't an easy thing to do. Her lines are smooth and crisp and clear without being bulky, her coloring is bright and solid, but without being gaudy or tacky, her poses for Sanji (as he's the focus of this site) are terrific, really keeping in the feel of the character. She also puts a lot of detail into her art, making them just fun to look at and an all-around really solid site. I'm very impressed. ^_^v (No warnings/pairings.)
