1. *claws at fandom* I think I'm out of Kabuto fic? Don't make me write it myself, you guys. Or, worse, try to sort through FFNET. (Or seek out Dekaranger fic before I've finished the series.)
2. I feel that Clow/Yuuko is canon now. IT TOTALLY COUNTS. Clow's final words to Yuuko = TOTALLY COUNTING.

ARASHI: untitled by Circe - For about a month now, I've kind of been clawing at the walls for Aiba and Nino interaction because they obviously get along so well, they are both... well. Chaotic, let's say. So, putting them in the same room together would only invite trouble. Awesome trouble. And Circe captures that beautifully here, the way they're just so delighted to be little shits together and kind of traumatizing and yet the way the rest of the band reacts is just. It's so perfect. I just. Every time I get to Sho, I start cracking up all over again. (....well, sort of Aiba/Nino, but sort of not. I'd say it was gen more than anything.)
ARASHI: Yellow Light by waxrose - It's times like this where. Where. Where I think maybe there's hope for the Arashi fandom (omg, what did I do to deserve fandom being so awesome lately?) because this fic is-- it's so much of how I see them and it's so sharp and intelligent and subtle and clever and good, all the things that I wish for this fandom. While Jun is my favorite and of course I love it when people actually get him and can write that balance of bitchy and squishy, I think that... what really made me want to cry tears of happiness over this fic is Aiba. Who can be playful and silly, but he's not a child and he gets what's going on around him very well. The way he interacts with Jun is spot on, the chemistry comes across so clearly for me and it just-- When she posted this, I'd kind of been flitting off from one pairing to the next with Arashi lately, but this fic reminded me of why these two will always be my OTP. Also, as;dlfkjaslkj so hot omg, her fic is gorgeously written always, but when she does porn? It's perfect, it's about words strung together in lovely ways and about gorgeous imagery and characterization and insight about them all woven together in one really hot fic. ♥ My fangirl slobbering over this, let me show you it. (Aiba/Jun, NC-17.)
Boukenger: untitled by Meg - So. Every time I think maybe I can get this whole crushingly embarrassing fondness for vampire fic out of my system, Meg goes and writes something like this. It's still got the trappings of vampire fic (the fans, the thirst for blood especially with people suddenly all around) but it also delightfully has fun with it and is so great with these characters. I just. Of course it would happen to Masumi exactly like that and of course that's how everyone would react. A...also, that might be kind of super hot and I hate Meg for lodging the image in my head. *___* (Nothing I'd warn for.)
Kamen Rider Kabuto: untitled by reversedhymnal - This was a delightfully fun little ficlet from a meme that's why I love going through these memes in the first place. Kabuto and ghost stories and it's the whole cast and it's mocking Tendou just a little bit (or maybe a lot) in a way that is so much fun. (No warnings/pairings.)
Kamen Rider Kabuto: The Journey, Not the Desination by Meg - While I was serious about being somewhat satisfied with Kabuto fandom after the previous fic from the author, I also still really wanted more fic from this fandom. Especially of the porno variety. And what Meg does here is that she takes two semi-cliche (or at least they would be if a larger fandom for this show existed) and makes them really hot. And, as if makeouts against the Extenders or blowjobs in a ridiculous throne-like chair weren't awesome enough, they both have the perfect tone to them, just self-aware enough that they're this brilliant combination of it and still being serious makeouts. A...also, the use of description is some of my favorite, it's so sharp and she knows how to paint a really hot scene without even having to really go beyond an R rating too much because she knows exactly how to skirt the line so that it's perfect. These two short fics don't need any more or any less, just... exactly this. And I mentioned it was really hot, right? (Kagami/Tendou, not quite SFW.)
Kamen Rider Kabuto: Wanna Taste It by Circe - This was really fun to read! Generally, I don't lean towards the idea that Kagami is that clueless (despite that I've written him that way myself) but a good author can make me forget just about anything and I kind of seriously loved what Circe did here. Which I mention because it's the mark of a good author that can pull me away from the direction I usually lean. ♥ The imagery used, the sense of timing she has, the way Tendou's moodswings are fearsome and kind of frightening without being too much, then there's Gon and Daisuke who are so much fun and I especially love the ending because that's Kagami for you. Even when Tendou confuses the hell out of him, he gets it eventually and does things his own way. Also, she totally does some A++++ double entredres with the food and that is what Kabuto fandom should be all about. (Kagami/Tendou.)
Kamen Rider Den-O: The Trouble with Time Trains by ellipsesbandit - [Note: This is set post-series, so there may be some spoilers for Den-O here?] Omg! I don't need to claw at Den-O fandom anymore. I just. I wanted one good fic with Yuuto and Ryoutarou and this fic is exactly what I was looking for. The author captures Yuuto's spastic flailing while trying to be cool and distant, she just totally nails the way Ryoutarou acts towards him by the end of the series and Yuuto is a spaz. Even Deneb is awesome here. ;___;b But, really, it's the fantastic and genuinely sharp and clever Yuuto narrative that makes this fic a great read. It's just. It's so easy to see, too! (Yuuto/Ryoutarou kind of implied.)
Ouran Koukou Host Club: Take Your Breath by sumthinlikhuman - I feel like I haven't read any Kyouya/Tamaki in ages, partly because I've been waiting to catch up on the manga for fear of accidental spoilers and that's just not quite happened yet, but. My attention was caught by this one and I thought I'd at least give it a shot and I really liked the beginning of it, there was something... I don't know, almost detailed about it, the scenario that the author sets up. Something that would be easy to see between the pages of canon, plus an interesting take on the relationship between Kyouya and Tamaki, the way Kyouya's need for control could manifest itself. An intriguing little fic, one that's not usually my kink but worked well here. (Kyouya/Tamaki, not quite SFW.)
