Notes/Babbling: Ha! I have more Tenipuri fanart this time than FMA. When was the last time that happened? Also, I continue to be amused at the Tenipuri J-fandom and its crackpot pairings. It also cracks me up that there's a union for Sanada/Atobe. And that I found a Sanada x Kamio fanart.

- Prince of Tennis/Gundam SEED - Shiso [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Now, there are a lot of pairings on this site (including some OshiAto and BeKami), but I found them to be not as well done as the Rikkai art, which is just lovely. It's interesting, actually, there seems to be a marked difference between her Hyoutei art and her Rikkai art and I'm not sure why that is--but the Rikkai art is really why I'm rec'ing this site. There are two things I loved about the style... well, okay, three. One, the lines are fantastic, very soft but still strong and clean, not really delicate but pretty instead. I love her color, but her b&w stuff has this incredible shading that you can see better. Two, this is the kind of art that makes me fall for a group of characters--you can see that Rikkai is a team, that they do silly stuff together or have fun together or practice together or sweatrop together and it's the team interaction stuff that really makes me sparkle. Three, PRETTY YAGYUUNIOU! *twirls*

Her Yagyuu is gorgeous (her Sanada, Yanagi, and Niou aren't exactly hard on the eyes, either)--there's this one comic where he's talking with Marui and Yagyuu's wearing this suit and just... OMG I DROOL ALL OVER MYSELF--and I can't decide if I like her traditional art better or if I like the comics better. Either way, the entire site is totally worth going through for just about all the Rikkai-related stuff. *luffles* Also, I'm going to toss this into the Gundam SEED section as well because while I didn't love the art as much as I loved her Tenipuri art, there are some fantastic illustrations of Ashuran in the gallery and a couple of really, really pretty Yzak ones--the further you get into the galleries, the more her art strengthens up and is often times just beautiful. (Rikkai-centric, some YagyuuNiou and Ashuran/Yzak.)

- Prince of Tennis - Rakutenka Web [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I wasn't originally going to rec this site because, while the rough sketches were cute, there wasn't really enough art to wind me up and I wasn't absolutely blown away by it... until I kept going for awhile. It was cute and I was starting to teeter on the edge because of the cute Zukaishi illustrations, but it wasn't until I hit the autumn one of them--Oishi in the fall with leaves falling around him and Tezuka in the background of the image--that I let out a high-pierced fangirl shriek and knew I had to share with the world rec the site. ^_~ The lines of it are gorgeous and I love the colors and it just totally made my Tezuka/Oishi fangirl squee in girlish joy and sparkle madly. Anyway, this was a nice site that scratched my itch for Zukaishi this morning, so I'm glad to have found it. ♥ (TezukaOishi.)

- Prince of Tennis - Cheep Lips [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Okay, see, I have this thing for Jiroh x Oshitari; I don't know where it came from, why I have it, why it appeals to me, why I can just see it in my head (well, okay, that's probably thanks to all the pretty J-fanart for it out there), or how it started... all I know is that I go *___* over it. This site is mostly Jiroh-centric, rather than Jiroh/Oshitari-centric, which didn't hurt my feelings at all, since I really quite like Jiroh. He's very, very cute here and the JirohOshi fanart is just stunningly pretty. There's this one of them in the rain, with these beautiful shades of blue, that's just... lovely; there's another one of Jiroh holding Oshitari's glasses while he kisses him that is a good example of why I like the artist's work. It's not delicate art, but the colors are soft and the lines soft (without being girly), just the type of art that really works for this pairing. Plus, Jiroh's so cute in all of the art he's in and there's some occasional nice illustrations of the other Hyoutei members. ^_^v (Jiroh-centric, some JirohxOshitari, some Hyoutei.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - RULE [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I admit, the artist here can be a bit hit-or-miss, but when she's on, she draws these illustrations or comics that just... make me squee. I think I adored every comic she drew, because they really let you focus on her smooth, clean lines in the b&w art and show you her solid shading skills. Plus, they were so cute! Ed getting sick and Roy taking care of him was my favorite (I NEED FIC ON THIS CONCEPT, PEOPLE), but I adored all of the comics, really. Plus, Ed and Roy in the rain, that always makes me happy. XD Her color art wasn't as impressive for me, but, hell, I loved the artist just because I managed to find the under gallery and she has niiiiiiiiice art there. *___* (Roy/Ed.)

- X-Men/Marvel - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This started with me poking around J-fanart sites for American comics (for some reason I've never really gotten into fanart for comic books before) and eventually stumbling across this site. Holy crap this artist is good--her works are like paintings, just rich with detail and lovely coloring/shading. Her Ororo is just absolutely stunning especially (I'm still squeeing over the one of her flying above the mansion and of the one of her and Logan *fangirls*), but she also does the other X-women amazingly well. There's also a Remy fanart for me to squee over, there's some fantastic group illustrations, etc. I had to rec this one just because the art is amazing, really professional-looking stuff, the kind of art I could see being on a poster by a regular Marvel artist, I think. *loves* (No pairings/warnings.)

- Lord of the Rings/X-Men - ES [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I came here for the X-Men fanart, but noticed the Lord of the Rings fanart first--I swear I didn't go looking for Aragorn/Legolas fanart! It just jumped right out at me! Not that it's really terribly obvious, even the most suggestive ones could nearly pass for gen. The artist does a really lovely Legolas most of all--there are a couple that are just absolutely stunning in these galleries. She has a look that's almost soft, but not too much so that it looks girly, just enough to be really pretty. And then there's her kick ass Evo fanart--there's this one of Kurt and Logan that's just amazing with the lines, the shading, and the soft coloring she used. There's also some really neat movie-based art and one in particular of Scott that I totally fangirled over. Of Scott. When the hell did I become a Scott fangirl? Plus! Eeeee! She has a few little Evo images tucked away on the pages, one of which was Lance/Kitty! *luffles* (No real warnings/pairings.)

You know, there's some amazing Gundam SEED fanart out there... the problem is that I don't really know what pairings I like (and thus get too overhwelmed by the potential options), nor did I ever get farther than about episode 26. >_o So I'm very, very lost most of the time and I tend to only rec it when it's combined with something else. (But, dammit, the pretty art calls to me....)

Heh, well, I've had several things spoiled for me already, though, given that there's not really much of an English fandom for it, it's fairly easy to avoid spoilers if I put my mind ot it.

A little of both--I have about half of the episodes of 26-50 and I've been dragging my feet on watching them. And it's such a pain to get the episodes I'm missing, so I'm kind of slacking. >_>
