ARASHI: Smells Like Member-Ai by waxrose - asdlf;kjaslkj OHNO/NINO/SHO FIC. HOW I HAVE PINED FOR THIS IN FANDOM. And not only is it one of my favorite OT3s, it's also by one of my favorite authors in this fandom. *___* I love this fic, love it, because it's just exactly how I wanted this threesome to go--there's the Ohmiya connection, but somehow Sho fits into that so very well without taking away from the Ohmiya itself. Which is partially achieved through Ohmiya being little shits together (which they very clearly are) but also that Sho has a special connection with each of them. This fic. Just. Gets all of that. And then adds in genuinely clever snarkery from Nino, the whole Arashi-experience by being a wonderful group of retards even while this is an Sho/Ohno/Nino fic, and has the best way to sum up Ohmiya and why they touch each other all the time: "Because we're bored," Ohno answers simply at the same time Nino chimes in, "It's a physical manifestation of our destined love!" Yes. YES. Also, the hotel scene makes me shriek with laughter every single time because it's just so easy to see and I love Sho, like, A WHOLE LOT. ....so. To sum up my feelings on this fic: a;sldkfja;slkejalksj ♥♥♥♥♥♥ (Ohno/Nino/Sho.)
ARASHI: your every little trembling line by waxrose - ....!!! I could have sworn I had read everything by this author, but apparently I missed Ohno/Sho porn, holy crap, shame on me! But it was a really nice to have this fic during a tough week for Arashi, especially for a pairing that doesn't get enough love from fandom, and it's-- as;ldfkjaslkj, it's one of those ideas that I would only trust to a small handful of authors, the idea of Sho posing naked for one of Ohno's drawings, but it's fantastic here. It's an amazing piece for Sho's perspective--both on his love for his stupid bandmates and what he sees about them, yet he knows they're little bastards, too--but also for Ohno. Ohno, omg. Who is kind of spacey and artistic, but he's also very thoughtful in his own way and direct when the situation calls for it, he knows what he's doing and as;ldfkjasljk yes. This was Ohno. And this was Sho. And this was Ohno/Sho and it was fantastic. .....shut up, it's an incredibly rare pairing, I'm allowed to explode with squee! (Ohno/Sho, not really safe for work.)
Princess Tutu: Whatever Way Our Stories End by sinbani - This is an interesting take on the Tutu series and the use of fairy tales and the meta aspect of the whole series, but the writing was clean and smooth and I liked a lot of what it did. I liked the use of Fakia as a writer in the town and the connection he has with the young girl who wants his autograph and just. The way it unfolds from there. It was an interesting little fic and I'm glad to have read another Tutu fic this morning. ♥ (Fakia/Ahiru.)
- Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - fear [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I snatched the link for this from measuringlife's guide and it's a really, really nice little site! There are some really cute illustrations on the site, some light colors and heavy lines that are adorable, but then there are some really surprisingly intensely colored pieces or a gorgeous b&w piece of Soren and I wound up really impressed by the site! I skipped over a lot of the little mini-comics and doodles, but the main gallery was really worth visiting for, it's definitely some of the prettier Ike/Soren I've come across and I'd love to see more from the artist. It's not a perfect site, but there are some not to be missed images on it! *__* (Some Ike/Soren, some gen.)
- Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - - so - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Another link I snatched from measuringlife's guide and it took me probably longer than it should have to find the biggest gallery of art (which is tucked away in the past gallery) and I was kind of surprised at how quickly won over I was. The main gallery had some decently cute art, the ToA stuff was cute and I kinda liked the artist's style, but it wasn't until I got into the past gallery that I started looking at the really good stuff. The artist's lines are really surprisingly solid and I like her interesting uses of color, I like the watercolor effect it often has, and I really like how cute/pretty her Soren is. There's one of him in the rain that's just all soft lines and faded colors and it's really nice. So, not a ton of art here, but it was a really nice stop. <3 (Some Ike/Soren, some gen.)
- Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Another link I snatched from measuringlife's guide and it's another site that doesn't have a ton of art on it, but what's here is really interesting and often times really pretty. There's a lot of focus on the basic lineart, the color either secondary to it or just pure b&w (well, occasionally there are some pieces with some striking colors) and you can see how much time and attention the artist put into Soren's illustrations. There's a lot of linework here and it's detailed really well, making it a fun little site to go through. (A little Ike/Soren, a lot of gen.)
- Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - sudachips [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I snatched the link for this one off measuringlife's guide, but I've also been here before for the Tales of the Abyss art, so I may have eventually gotten back here on my own. *g* But I'm glad she pointed it out, because it's definitely one of the better sites I've seen, there's a really nice selection of different characters, a lot of the ones that I haven't seen covered as much (there's Marcia fanart!) and some of them are really, really gorgeous like the one of Lethe and Mordecai in the forest. Or a couple of really fantastic illustrations of Ranulf and Tibarn each. One of my new favorite sites for the game, I think. (....nothing I'd really warn for/no real pairing themes.)
- Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I wasn't sure what I was going to get when I clicked onto this site, if it was even going to be the game I knew, I was kind of clicking randomly a lot. But I got a really interesting little site--Haar/Jill isn't a pairing that would have occurred to me (but at this point I'm not finished with the game, nor do I pay attention to most of the more minor characters) but the fanart here is really lovely. There's also some really pretty Naesala/Leanne art, all that pretty hair and wings and flowing clothes that I'm weak to. Not everything is perfect, but there's a surprising amount of art here, there's some really gorgeous ones occasionally, there's a really nice selection of various characters, and all that made it really satisfying. (Some Haar/Jill, some Naesala/Leanne, some gen.)
- Gankutsuou - [ English Fanart Site ] - [Note: I suspect that many of these pages will not load for you unless you have a y!Gallery account, as they are NSFW.] Strangely enough, it was actually when I was looking for REBORN! fanart that I was browsing y!Gallery and stumbled over this artist's Gankutsuou art. She caught my eye with her Count/Albert porn and, well. There has been not nearly enough porn in my life and I'm still sullen about the lack of it in Gankutsou fandom the last time I looked. The artist has a very solid style that's a lot like canon, it's immediately easy to tell who the characters are, even aside from the distinctive markings. There's also a bit of putting her own style onto the characters, but I hardly minded that. She includes a couple of b&w lineart images (like this one, which is probably my favorite of the b&w ones) where you can see that her basic art is really in keeping with the style of the series, especially her Count. You can also find a lot of other series by browsing through the galleries, but my point for myself this time around was the Gankutsuou art. ....the Okami art in the galleries didn't hurt my feelings at all, though. >___> (Count/Albert, often NSFW.)
- Harukanaru Toki no Nakade - milky milky milky!! [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This artist is very clearly a fan of Benkei, almost every single illustration is of him, but... I find that I don't really mind that, even if my personal favorites lie elsewhere. The artist clearly had fun with the illustrations and some of them look just beautiful, especially with the lovely soft pastel colors that fit so well with the game's coloring itself. There's all that pretty hair and flowing clothes and it's hard not to be won over by that sort of thing. XD (Some Benkei/Nozomi, but mostly it's a gen site.)
