Notes: ....oh, my god, I love that Reborn! art meme so much. "Where do you think Gokudera lives?" is NEVER NOT FUNNY. This one is my favorite so far, though. (I've been browsing a lot of the English fanart and Jesus how is there so much incredibly hot fanart in the English fandom already? NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING.)

- Bleach - Green Knight by Vialana - I did see the ending of this fic coming, but to be honest I would have been disappointed if it had turned out any other way. It's an adorable fic, it's so delightfully enthusiastic and batshit crazy and so very, very Orihime. It's a wonderful tone for what's going on, the crazy adventure Orihime is on to rescue Ichigo, all the crazy things she has to go through to find him and stop the evil villains from hurting him so they could summon a devil to walk the earth, all the little things that don't quite go as expected. It's adorable and it's not really about romance and yet you can feel how much she cares about Ichigo. And the ending is really just exactly what the fic needed. ♥ (Ichigo/Orihime.)

- Bleach - Stalwart by Vialana - This is a companion piece to Green Knight, which can mostly stand on its own, but some references might be lost on you if you read it without the other one. This time it's a fic from Ichigo's perspective, something based more in canon events and shows his motivations at the beginning of the Hueco Mundo arc. I like it because it shows so much of what I saw during those chapters, the way Ichigo wasn't precisely thinking of Orihime in romantic terms, but there was a certain something there that was slowly waking, he wanted... something with her. The author's writing is lovely and the characterization is solid and I just. I've been reading a lot of IchiHime fic lately and it still has yet to get old how charmed I am by people actually writing good fic. (Ichigo/Orihime.)

- Bleach - Everything is Alright by Mimi Dear - This was a sweet little fic that sort of dumped you into the middle of the story, it was just a quiet moment between Ichigo and Orihime when she's staying at their place for awhile. It's not overly flashy, it's just quiet and a little bit sad, but not depressing. Orihime's feelings for Ichigo are very much a part of her, but she still hides them, and what I liked most about this fic is the way it's so... soft and gentle about the whole thing. Very sweet. (Ichigo/Orihime.)

- D.Gray-man - Yaoke by Empatheia - Kanda/Rinali is one of those pairings that started out with a spark of interesting for me because I thought they would look really pretty together. I'm totally okay with passively shipping something because it's pretty. ♥ But the more I think about it and the more I read the manga and the more I slowly dig into the fandom, the more I find fics like this, the more I'm... not precisely actively shipping it, but I feel like it doesn't always have to be crack. This fic is lovely, Kanda is still so blunt and likes to kill things with his sword and is annoyed with the world in general, while Rinali is still sweet and gentle-natured but can fight alongside him just fine and the way they blend together... it's really good here. Kanda isn't exactly nice to her, but he's not mean, either. Rinali understands a lot. They can fight side by side, they can heal side by side and I love, love that there's a certain respect between them that doesn't happen very often with Kanda. Plus, the writing is really lovely. And the ending made me happy and squishy inside. ♥ (Kanda/Rinali.)

- D.Gray-man - Warm Stranger by Empatheia - Kanda didn't like Allen much. Allen didn't really like him. Liking, however, is not necessarily synonymous with caring, and so it was with them. I had read the author's Kanda/Rinali fic before this and liked her take on Kanda, so I was curious to see if her Kanda/Allen would be the same for me. And what I really love about this fic is that Kanda and Allen don't really like each other, Kanda is very arrogant and cold and blunt and very flawed even when the narrative is set from his perspective. I love that the author keeps all of what attracted me to Kanda's character in the first place, that he doesn't care about making friends or believes in some higher purpose in life, that he's a killer and he doesn't feel badly about it. He's not oblivious to those around, he just doesn't really care much of the time or feel the need to do anything even when he has nothing against certain people. There's occasionally respect for people like Rinali or Komui, frustration with people like Ravi or Crowley, etc. But mostly he just fights and does his job. And he thinks so very lowly of Allen and, as the fic progresses, he never really comes to like Allen, but he trusts him in his own way, and that's what makes this fic work so incredibly well. The characterization is fantastic, Kanda feels very spot on for me, the scenes and flashes of imagery and the light touches on canon events that the author uses work perfectly to show the passage of time and the quiet shift in their relationship. It reminds me of why I like this pairing. (Kanda/Allen.)

- Hana Yori Dango - A Simple Gesture by Maho-chan - I believe I was browsing through 31_days to look at what had been posted recently, when I saw Hanadan fic and I'm always up for more from the series. It's such a small(-ish, I suppose) fandom, but I really do adore these two. Tsukushi and Tsukasa are adorable and the fic had this very... cute feel to it, I guess. Tsukushi and her friends reading magazines, Tsukushi being a little awkward about the racy content in them, then thinking about her own relationship with Tsukasa and what I really liked about this fic is... he's not the only stupid one, you know? So often it's Doumyouji's idiocy causing problems, but this fic shows that she's kind of an emotional retard in her own way, too, without being overbearing about it. It was something that struck me while reading and I appreciate it. Also, I really, really would like to know what happens in the next chapter. (Tsukasa/Tsukushi.)

- Hana Yori Dango - Always Like This by dawbygirl - And, as long as I was looking for Hanadan fic, I went poking around a bit more. And as;dflkjasldkjalskj yes. I don't know that I would want actual porn for Tsukasa/Tsukushi, but a light M-rated fic is really, really welcome. It's lovely writing as well, it's only partially about the sex and even more about what they mean to each other and what the way they're together says about the two of them. How their long and torturous get together leaves them both wanting a certain something that they can never get enough of, woven together with the way they touch each other. Yesss. (Tsukasa/Tsukushi, somewhere around PG-13 to maybe a very very light R.)

- Inuyasha - Kaleidoscope by tuathafaerie - It's not often that I read Inuyasha fanfic anymore, but I've always enjoyed this author's Sesshoumaru/Kagura fic, more than just because I wasn't the only one who saw something between the two characters while watching/reading the series, but because the fics are so beautifully written. This is a sort of dreamy, almost hazy sort of fic, it's almost written with an obfuscating tone, but that's the sort of thing that fits with Sesshoumaru and Kagura as characters. There's so much potential between the characters, so much of something that's almost something, and then suddenly it's too late and there are no dramatic moments afterwards and it's so... I really love her Sesshoumaru here. *__* (Sesshoumaru/Kagura.)

- Katekyou Hitman Reborn! - Vulgar by Dual - I wouldn't have thought I would want to read an AU fic in this fandom, not for one I've spent such a short amount of time in so far, but... well, the sheer number of comments and my love of Tsuna and Gokudera got me to give this one a chance. And it's a really cool little AU, the author keeps the spirit of the characters and the great thing about this being a college AU fic is that it's not so focused on the college aspect of it as it is focused on the characters, who were actually very easy to see in this setting. Plus, the author's writing style is very smooth and easy to read, it was fun to read her style of humor, I couldn't put the fic down once I'd started to read. Excellent little fic. ♥ (Gokudera/Tsuna.)

- Katekyou Hitman Reborn! - Chinko by Dual - This is another fic where, if I'd thought too much about the concept before actually reading it, I'm not sure what I would have thought of it. But actually reading the fic is delightful, it somehow works, because it would be a situation the Reborn! characters--especially Tsuna--would find themselves somehow ending up in. Tsuna's reactions to the situation around him, to blaming Reborn, to having Gokudera (even with Gokudera's special brand of crazy XD) so close to him while that plays on the TV, all of it was spot-on in characterization. I love that Gokudera never lost his spazflail over Tsuna, I love that the porn was just right for these two characters, and I really liked the author's writing style. (Gokudera/Tsuna.)

- Katekyou Hitman Reborn! - Burn by villanelle_koi - For the last few fic links I've clicked on, I've been really pleasantly surprised by the amount of good Gokudera/Tsuna fics, I had been under the impression that it was a bit of a rare pairing in the fandom. And this was another lovely, if a bit heartbreaking, fic from Gokudera's point of view, where he plays the piano while going through a gamut of frustrated and angry and depressed emotions. It's lovely for the use of Gokudera's piano playing (which is something I really like about the character) and because the author is good at setting a tone for his mood, the writing is very lovely in this fic. It's a bit sad, but sometimes I like one-sided fics more than reciprocated fics because I'm not quite there yet with Tsuna's feelings, so exploring this possibility is still interesting to me. (One-sided Gokudera/Tsuna.)

- Odin Sphere - I Wish by Shamanic Nuriko - [Note: There are spoilers for Mercedes' book in this fic and this rec.] Since I've basically finished the game (and spoiled myself for the ending, as I'm on the final fights now), I'm finally letting myself dig into the fandom to look for fic and I really want more Ingway/Mercedes fic especially. This was a lovely little piece set from Mercedes' point of view, thinking about all that's happened, thinking about the frog that helped her so much. I love that the fic touches on maybe why she bonded so strongly to someone just after her mother's death, but doesn't take away from the loveliness of the relationship. It's a really interesting look at Mercedes' character, someone who grew so much in the course of the game, someone I wasn't sure about at first, but she became one of my favorite characters. Very lovely. (Some Ingway/Mercedes implied.)

- Odin Sphere - In the Midst by MaverickJediSabyne - [Note: There are spoilers for the end of the game in this fic and this rec.] Since seeing the ending of the game, I've been a bit desperate for anything Inwgay/Mercedes because they turned out to be a pairing I adored deeply and their ending... their ending was beautiful and almost had to happen, but it certainly left a lot to be fannishly desired. So, Ingway/Mercedes fic it is. This is an interesting Ingway piece as he lies dying and thinks about her death after the fight with Onyx. It's sad, of course, but I like that... there's still some form of hope for whatever comes after death, that Ingway still has enough of something positive in him that his soul would spend the rest of eternity looking for her. Plus, that totally helps soothe the fannish ache. (Ingway/Mercedes.)

- Odin Sphere - Once Upon A Time... by Moonsheen - [Note: There are some spoilers for the end of the game and Mercedes' book in this fic and this rec.] This is a really cute little fic that... well, I'm not sure how many spoilers are actually in it, but it does reference some things you probably wouldn't get unless you'd played through the ending of the game. It's a very cute little fic that has an adorable little Alice and a charming ending that ties back into the game wonderfully. It's a short fic, but it's one of those things that you could practically just see happening in Alice's time. <3 (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Odin Sphere - A Midsummer's Night by Moonsheen - [Note: There are some spoilers for Mercedes' story in this fic and this rec.] One of the most interesting things about Odin Sphere is how the characters are all connected, even when they don't realize the connections and parallels are there. This fic is an adorable scene between Mercedes and frog!Ingway and it would have been lovely just for that, but it also touches on comparing/contrasting the two just a little, just enough that you realize a little more of the depth of Ingway's problems and the things that haunt him the most. Mercedes is adorable and you can see the flashes of the strong queen she's growing into and the frog/fairy dynamic is just so very cute yet again. (Ingway/Mercedes.)

- Odin Sphere - Soft Shadow by Moonsheen - [Note: There are some spoilers for Gwendolyn's book and inferences to Oswald's book in this fic and this rec.] Oswald/Gwendolyn was one of the first pairings that I came to fall in love with in the game. Oswald was really kind of utterly hilarious and I loved him instantly for his emotard ways, especially when he got all stalkery with Gwendolyn. Somehow, the two of them were perfect for each other and, yet, Oswald's obsessive creepy stalkery ways are never any less hilarious. The tone of this fic is very... it's rather terse, in a way, but I thought that fit with a fic set from Oswald's perspective, and I really liked the use of alchemy in the fic. The use of the feather was also lovely and it's an interesting little piece set between moments in canon, a very interesting look at Oswald's character. (Oswald/Gwendolyn.)

- Odin Sphere - Pocket Change by Moonsheen - I don't think I'll ever tire of Ingway/Mercedes interaction, they are just delightfully adorable together. This is just a short little piece, with Ingway trying to be practical and help Mercedes out, while she is a little >_o over his, ah, help. It's adorable because you can tell how much they like each other even when they're being adorably dumb and hilarious kids. (Ingway/Mercedes.)

- Odin Sphere - untitled by WhiteCat - You know. I'm not sure I would want NC-17 porn for Ingway/Mercedes (th-though, I suppose I would always be willing to find out....), partially because Mercedes was so young and partially because it would be tough to fit into the events of the game and mostly because I'm just not sure they need it. But something that's somewhere between a PG-13 and a light R? That works really well, especially for Ingway, who is... kind of a dark character. This is lovely, it's not harsh, but it's not sweetness and light, either. It's... Ingway, thinking about Mercedes. Thinking about all the things he'd seen and how much darkness has been in his life, yet how much he surprisingly cares about this tiny little queen. The imagery is lovely and it's a very pretty look at these characters. (Ingway/Mercedes.)

- Odin Sphere - untitled by WhiteCat - [Note: While there are no specific spoilers in this fic, there are references to events that you can only grasp fully if you know the ending. So, I'm still giving this fic and rec a spoiler warning, you should at least be into Oswald's book, if not the whole ending.] There's a line that Oswald says in the game, even after he realizes that Melvin no longer sees him as anything but a human tool, that there must have been something at the start of his adoption by the fairy. This fic does a really lovely job of it, there's something there when Melvin stumbles across baby Oswald, who is so direct and steady even as an infant, there's something when he looks into those little eyes and holds him. You can still see how it all went wrong eventually, you can already feel the stirrings of arrogance, but the something is still real. This fits very nicely with the game and the Melvin - Oswald relationship. (No warnings/pairings.)

- Odin Sphere - Some Day (My Prince Will Come) by Moonsheen - This was a cute potential first meeting between Cornelius and Velvet, it's neat to see the way Cornelius was immediately intrigued by this strange helpless maiden who wasn't so helpless and he's totally adorable here. He's... he's kind of ridiculous and almost cliche, except he has a really good heart and you can see that nicely here. The references to princely behavior is an interesting one, especially considering Velvet's situation, and I liked this fic a lot. (Cornelius/Velvet.)

- Odin Sphere - No Happy Endings by Aeanagwen - [Note: There are spoilers for the end of the game in both the fic and this rec.] While I understood why both Ingway and Mercedes almost had to die (otherwise it would have been kind of a cop-out), I'm still saddened that, no matter what ending you got for the characters, they always, always died. There was such potential there and this fic is an interesting look at Ingway's view of what could have been and how bitter he is about having lost it. How hurt and frustrated with the world he is, how almost resigned he is to his fate, even when he's still angry as he lay dying after her death. Even if it's not a happy fic, it helps fill the fannish void left by never getting a happy ending for those two. (Ingway/Mercedes.)

- Odin Sphere - A Fateful Meeting by MaverickJediSabyne - This was an interesting look at both Oswald and Gwendolyn, the dual perspectives of their meeting on the battlefield worked well here. I thought Oswald's interal voice was a little off, but the narration for both of them had really solid characterization and I loved that Oswald's chapter was just as hilariously super serious as he was, it was a rather perfect style for his character. I liked that it wasn't instant love for either of them, I liked that they both had such intense battlelust running through their veins, I liked that it was only a moment of being caught, something that Gwendolyn didn't know how to put into words and something that was kinda stalkery for Oswald, before the battle continued onwards. It was a good look into both of them at that moment. (Oswald/Gwendolyn.)

- Odin Sphere - Never and Always by MayPirate - [Note: There are few specific spoilers in this fic or this rec, but you may want to steer clear of it until you know the ending of the game.] Oh, my. This is a lovely look at Ingway's character, such a bitter and jaded person who knows that he's done terrible things and is going to do more, but watching Mercedes while she sleeps, he thinks about stories and maybe some part of him wishes for something else. I really like how emotionally scarred this Ingway is, without being too over the top about it, how you don't have to be told how much he's gone through, you can feel it in every thought that goes through his head. And yet there's something very sweet here, something almost charming in the way he thinks of Mercedes. The writing is gorgeous, the use of stories and endings as themes is lovely, and this story touched my fangirl heart. As much as I want a happy ending for them, this is the kind of thing that I went into the Odin Sphere fandom for. (Ingway/Mercedes.)

- Shin Seiki Evangelion - Virtuoso by Empatheia - This is a rather short piece, but it's such a lovely fic from Kaworu's perspective. There's something not quite whimsical about this, something very... knowing and otherworldly about the way he sees Shinji and yet something that understands Shinji possibly better than anyone. The descriptions of the way Kaworu sees Shinji, the way he sees Shinji's hatred for himself, the way Shinji sees the rest of the world, the way there are these almost revenant tones to the entire piece, it was all very lovely. And a little heartbreaking, but after all I've been put through from this series.... (Kaworu/Shinji.)

- Tales of the Abyss - Troubles on Mushroom Road by ladynadiad - [Some spoilers for the Mushroom Road sidequest in the game.] Oh, man, I hated the Mushroom Road sidequest, never have I so badly wanted a map and/or wanted to get the hell out of there, despite that Asch showed up in my party. I hated the monsters, I hated running all over the place, I hated the designed, I hated the music. And yet this fic is so cute and charming, it's just a quiet moment after battling monsters where Asch protects Natalia and he sees that, annoying as their group might be, they do nice things for him. What I really liked is that it felt very much like the game to me, I could easily picture it and the dialogue was easy to imagine in their voices. Plus, Asch and Natalia continue to be hilariously stupid for each other. XD (Asch/Natalia.)

- Code Geass/Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - HOCHOCO [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I see a lot of Code Geass fanart on various websites, but rarely is there very much or art that's very good and also appeals to me. It's not that I don't like the series, I do. I just don't really have a pairing preference (besides a vague fondess for Lelouch/Shirley and you can tell I totally screwed myself over there XD), so finding sites that really hit me hard doesn't happen often. But I saw the link for this site and had to wander over because it looked like the art could be really beautiful and I was absolutely not disappointed. The colors and lines and everything on this site are really beautiful, the characters are often adorable and the artwork often looks completely professional. But it's also that the art makes me happy, looking a little tiny kidlet Lelouch in his little tuxedo or the kids curled up together on the floor in an exhausted pile or Lelouch kneeling against Nunnally's chair or the utterly adorable Lelouch/C.C. chibis, it all makes me smile. Though, as much as I loved the Geass art, the real delight on this site for me was the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni art. I've seen a few sites here and there, but nothing with enough art where I could properly rec, especially with art as beautiful as this. And gorgeous the art is, looking at each illustration was a delight The colors are gorgeous, the poses are alternately sweet and horrifying, and it all does fantastic justice to the series. ♥ (No real warnings/pairings.)

- D.Gray-man - AZZ [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site has some really cool Noah family illustrations, the Alice in Wonderland-based one is just... it's bizarre and surreal and beautiful and kinda perfect. All the illustrations have the same amount of amazing detail and beautiful colors in them, though, it's such a treat to look at the group illustrations each and every time. There's not a lot of art here, but it's so well-drawn and so pretty that I felt justified in the rec. I'd have loved a bit more art to the site, though, or to be able to get at the log pages. (No warnings/pairings.)

- Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - megmilk [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I'm still only on episode 5 of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, so it's really kind of retarded of me to go looking for fanart now, but the links are here and I don't want to lose them and they're so pretty already... I can't resist. This site has some gorgeous art on it, the colors are incredibly vibrant, the characters look fantastic and most of the time, they look so cute. And then you'll come across an image of Rena being all insane and violent and it just reminds you of the series so fantastically. The one of her standing on the roof in the middle of the night is just stunning and the Keiichi/Mion illustrations are making me kind of weak to the potential pairing. The Satoko+Rika art is just utterly adorable as well. Going through the site was so much fun, it's really good art for a series I'm growing to rather like. And it practically fell in my lap with hardly any effort on my part at all! Even better. :D (Maybe some Keiichi/Mion implied, but it's mostly a gen site.)

- Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I'm not sure what it is about this site that caught me, it's one of those where I just couldn't quite stop going through the gallery and looking at the well-done art. Every so often the artist would come up with a really cool little illustration, with Rena in her evil look or Keiichi vs Satoko adorable rollover art. There's not a ton of art here and a lot of it is very cutesy, but the artist has a lot of talent and I genuinely enjoyed the time I spent here. The colors are cute and fit the characters well and it keeps that balance between cute and creepy nicely, so... it was a nice stop on a fanart spree. I'm also still sort of marvelling at all the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni fanart out there, too. *__* (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Higurashi no Naku Koro ni/Fate/Stay Night - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This artist uses a very CG style to her art, it almost makes the characters look rather simple, but it's a style that fits with the series and she can still get across the cute/creepy thing the series has going on. Her colors are similar light pastels like the ones used in the series and I find myself especially charmed by her Rena illustrations. Rena is a character that I expected to annoy me, since her archetype rarely does anything for me, but I wound up actually liking her, so seeing an artist that does her well is fun. As for the Fate/Stay Night art, it's probably even prettier, I think. The colors are soft and almost glowing and the characters look fantastic. I'm especially delighted with the artist's Rin or Saber illustrations, they look utterly lovely. (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Odin Sphere - ‚R‚O‚U [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I debated with myself for a minute or two whether or not I wanted to rec this site, since it didn't look like there was going to be a whole lot of art on it. And there isn't that much, but... well, Odin Sphere is a small fandom, so I adjust my usual standards. Plus, I got to the illustration of Ingway looking down at himself as a child, curled up with his knees almost under his chin, and I was gone. It's actually a really pretty illustration, it's very well-done and the detail looks really good. But... I'm totally wibbly over the image as a whole, yes. ♥ The rest of the site is a little hit-or-miss for me, but there's some really cute Onyx art and adorable mandoragoras! Even the echa stuff was really cute, which is the section I usually skip on most sites. I missed having new Odin Sphere art to look at. ♥ (....nothing I'm going to warn for.)

- Odin Sphere - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - There is not a lot of art on this site, the main gallery has less than ten illustrations at the time of this recommendation, but you can find more by going through the artist's oekaki board. I actually went through the oekaki board first and was immediately in love with this site, the artist's art is definitely one of the best in the fandom so far. I really hope that she's only getting started, because her oekaki is cute (the one where Mercedes is glomping onto Ingway is delightful omg ♥) but her main gallery stuff is gorgeous. There's a sketch-like quality to it, but the lines are so strong and the detail so nicely done and the colors so pretty that they all look just amazing. I honestly can't decide if I like the artist's Gwendolyn (who is just lovely here) or the one with Ingway and Velvet standing side by side, they're all so fantastic. Just. Just-- ♥♥♥ (Some Oswald/Gwendolyn, some of anything that was intended in the game, some gen.)

- Odin Sphere - O-Cube [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - There are only five illustrations in the main gallery of this site, which isn't really a lot at all, but... the very first link I clicked on was a Griselda illustration. I'm not sure I'd seen a Griselda image before! Aside from oekaki and the like. (And even then, I'm not entirely sure.) Much less such a beautiful one. The next was a really pretty one of Velvet and Pooka!Cornelius and then a really lovely Mercedes illustration after that. So, I caved and had to recommend the site. (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Odin Sphere - M I C H I S H I R U B E [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I know I've been recommending a lot of sites that only have a small handful of art on them, but I figure they're sort of like drabble equivalent recs and, hell, I don't care about doing that. Besides, there is Ingway/Mercedes art on this site and it is super adorable. The artist uses a lot of green and gold colors, almost muted or sun-dappled and it creates a neat little effect for this pairing. There's some art of the other characters, but mostly I'm recommending this site because it MAKES MY FANGIRL HEART HAPPY to see Ingway and Mercedes happily curling up together and smiling brightly and laughing with each other. Yes. (Ingway/Mercedes.)

- Odin Sphere - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Another site with probably less than a dozen (well, maybe around that many) illustrations, but... well, it's Odin Sphere, which is such a small fandom, and it's adorable Ingway/Mercedes fanart. For as much as I started out focusing on other characters more, I suspect that I really want Ingway/Mercedes fanart the most and when I get such cute, pretty, and sweet art like the one of Mercedes about to whisper something in Ingway's ear, I melt. Though, the one of Oswald and Gwendolyn leaning against each other is beautiful, too. And it was fun going through the oekaki board for a couple more illustrations that were cute, too. (Ingway/Mercedes, Oswald/Gwendolyn, some gen.)

- Odin Sphere - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Once again, I waffled on whether or not to rec the site for a bit, hit a certain image, and was totally sold. Mercedes dressed up in Ingway's clothes while the little frog sits on her head was just too damn cute to resist! The rest of the site is very cute, there are some really adorable Ingway/Mercedes sketches of them sitting in a field and leaning against each other or her putting her head in his lap, the kind that make me feel all fuzzy inside. It's all really adorable stuff. <3 (Ingway/Mercedes.)

- Odin Sphere - niwniw [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I feel positive that I have been to this site before and I know I liked the art a lot (as some of it is really just beautiful), but I can't find it anywhere on my recs page. So, if it's a re-rec... well... Pooka!Onyx is worth going back for. I mean, seriously! There is Pooka!Onyx on this site. And it's super cute and beautifully drawn and that just makes my morning right there. I mean, I was charmed by Mercedes and the froggy lugging fruit around and being cute/pretty, but Pooka!Onyx looking Not Amused and little hanaberistas dancing around so cheerfully and I just-- I love Odin Sphere so much. ♥ There are a couple of really gorgeous Oswald illustrations to finish the site off (though, it's mostly an Onyx-centric site) and... maybe I skipped the site the first time around because it's Onyx/Gwendolyn-friendly and I was in OTP mode before. Now, I just appreciate the pretty art. <3 (Some Onyx/Gwendolyn, often one-sided. A smidge of Oswald/Gwendolyn and some gen.)

- Odin Sphere - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - There's not a lot of art here, but there's just enough that I was feeling generous, I suppose. There is one that I really loved, though, the one of Oswald holding Gwendolyn around the shoulders in a protective stance while they're in crouch, it was a lovely combination of soft colors and pretty lines. But it's also that there's a super super adorable Ingway/Mercedes comic and I'm totally weak to that kind of thing. A cute, fun site that I liked a lot. (Some Ingway/Mercedes, some Oswald/Gwendolyn, some gen.)

- Odin Sphere/Final Fantasy VII - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Oh, man. There might not be much art here, but what is here is beautiful, the kind of stuff that makes me melt into a puddle of blissful fangirl goo. The Zack/Aerith illustrations are some of the best I've ever seen in the fandom, the detail and strength of the lines is incredible. The colored art is very cute and adorable and I love it dearly, but the b&w sketches are just amazing. It's the same for the Odin Sphere art, some of the b&w lineart illustrations, like the one of Oswald/Gwendolyn, are just amazing to look at. The details of her dress and wings, the fantastic hair and flowers are just... oh, man, so pretty. ♥ Plus, the site has a Shinigami/Halja giving a loveletter to Oswald and I gotta say, I laughed a lot at that. That's great. This site is awesome and I love it ridiculous amounts. ♥ Also be sure to check out the oekaki page for a few extra super hot illustrations. (All the usual Odin Sphere pairings. Some Zack/Aerith, some gen for FFVII.)

- Sailor Moon - _tiger-fish_ [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I sat on the fence over this site for awhile, randomly clicking through links in the gallery, unsure if I wanted to keep going. The art was perfectly nice art, the artist had a lot of talent, but it was mostly just characters in their regular costumes doing fairly generic poses. And then I clicked onto a page with a couple of Helios/Chibi-Usa illustrations and I caved, since they were just so cute. It's been forever since I looked at Sailor Moon fanart and it's just that much more delightful that the artist likes the Amazon Trio and some of the Fisheye fanart is adorable. Her Haruka/Michiru art is also adorable and a couple of those Setsuna illustrations are pretty smokin' and I love the she covers pretty much all of the Senshi and the whole site is... solid and cute and fun. (Some pairings, but never more than one or two illustrations each.)

- Sailor Moon - COROZON [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I liked this site almost right away, but I'm often weak to the kind of oekaki art that shows a real strength for detail and patience to put as much time into it as it probably required. It's a certain style that's probably not going to be for everyone, but I really adore how cute the characters look and the artist's bright, solid colors that works with a series like Sailor Moon. Her Usagi is especially adorable (and all various incarnations thereof) and I really like her Chibi-Usa as well. There's a fair amount of art on the site and it's all really cute, which made the site totally satisfying for me. (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Sailor Moon - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I could swear I've been to this site before and that I'd recommended it. But no matter how many times I go through my files, I can't find it, so... I dunno, maybe I was just hallucinating, but I could swear I remember this blue water background. Anyway, it's a really lovely Ami-centric site, the artist switches between anime cel-style-like illustrations and something more softer and traditionally fanart-esque, both of them very cool to look at. I especially like the way the artist works different blue-themed outfits into her art, Ami looks really adorable in various costumes or when she's in normal clothes. The group stuff is adorable as well and I quite liked this site. (No warnings/pairings.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I was going to finally just close my browser and stop looking at fanart for the night because my brain was actually starting to hurt from seeing so many sites (given that I wound up recommending about 20 sites and I rec maybe one out of every four I look at....), but I was enticed into just one more Tales of the Aybss site because the art looked like it could really be cool. And even if my brain rebelled against me a little, it was worth it, this site has some super-adorable art and one of my new favorite illustrations--Peony and Jade riding on some sort of contraption while Saphir hangs off the edge by the back of his pants, bent over so that his shirt is practically over his head. It is never not funny when artists tease Dist, especially when they do it with such fun, well-done art. The group illustrations are fantastic, the author clearly has a sense of fun and humor and you can just feel that coming off all her art. A-also, the site was totally worth it for the illustration of Guy putting a blanket over a sleeping kidlet Asch and kidlet Natalia as they lean against a tree. Adorable omg. (No real warnings/pairings, at least not enough to count.)

- Tales of the Abyss/Okami - Rock Rock Rock [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site is definitely not going to be for everyone and I'm not even sure I can articulate why I like it so much, but... it's mostly scribbly art and very stylized, which is cute as it is. But what caught me about this site is that... the more I clicked through the gallery, the more and more I found myself smiling in amusement or thinking a particular illustration was cool. There's Nephry fanart! There's an image of the Keterburg kids burying Saphir in a snowman shaped just like him! There's some really cool Natalia art! Anise is super-cute! There's some really kinda cool Legretta fanart! Asch often looks hot! There's a handful of Asch/Natalia images! The site as a whole managed to win me over with enough illustrations that were just adorable enough to add up to a fun total. As for the Okami art, it's more of the same--I'm not sure how to describe why it's so cute, other than to flail over Waka being a dork or Sakuya being pretty or how some of the Princess Fuse fanart is actually kinda pretty or how Kai is super-cute. It's just a site that's adorable and makes me happy. XD (A little bit of a lot of different things. Probably the most prominent were Luke/Tear, Asch/Natalia, Peony/Nephry, Sync/Arietta. Nothing I'm going to count for Okami.)
